“Excellent chain bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2011

From the opening warm, genuine greeting from several staff members to the cheerful good-bye this is a delightful eye (and mouth)-opener. The concept might be formulaic but it delivers really decent food with an interesting choice of wines. We've been twice in ten years and it's still good.

“Best chocolate dessert ever!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2011

We had a wonderful pasta at this wine bar, the real treat was the chocolate gateau that has won several awards. It was sublime!

“Perfect spot for an afternoon glass of wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2010

Since my wife and I prefer wines from Bordeaux, this has been one of our favorite spots in Paris for more than 10 years. We stop by in the afternoon and select from the vast selection of well priced Bordeaux. Our food choices are pretty much limited to sausison and cheeses. The decor is also pleasant. There is nothing fancy about this place, but it has proved a perfect spot for a mid-day glass (or glasses) of good wine.

“Well below expectations”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2010

As a group of 6 we ate here last year and found it to be satisfactory with an excellent cheese selection. We returned this year and will not be back. Their wine is exclusively Bordeaux and we had no problem choosing the red. However, only 6 whites are on the list and four of those were unavailable! To compound matters the waiter came with three glasses of red when we had explicitly ordered a bottle. He took the three glasses away only to return with them a few minutes later (seemingly at the instruction of his manager). They were eventually removed and we were given our chosen bottle. By this time we had finished our starters! The food was average at best and the cheese for dessert was a gross disappointment. They substituted some of the advertised cheeses with a lesser choice without informing us. A couple at the next table were having a similar experience and decided to leave. In summary ok to pop in for a drink (of red) otherwise there are numerous better choices in the area.
