“Overpriced and tastless - but good view!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

We visited this restaurant upon recommendation from our Hotel in Paris.

Firstly - access to the restaurant is ridiculous, you have to travel a million escalators to reach the top. Why not just install a lift?

Our hotel had booked us a window table (after all, we were going there for the view) & called asking for the best table available as we were tourists. We arrived at 9pm and the restaurant was practically empty. The waitress showed us to our table in the middle of the restaurant - we asked to be moved to a window table (which were all basically free) and were told that they were fully booked and it would be better to sit in the middle as we would then get our table for 4 people all to ourselves (whereas, if we sat at the window, they would have to sit more people right next to us). This left a bitter taste in our mouths as soon as we arrived.

30 mins later, when the restaurant was still practically empty, the same waitress showed another couple to our small table and sat them directly next to us. This was very bad form.

The waiter who served us was very attentive and the wine we ordered upon recommendation was wonderful, so this is the only aspect I cannot complain about.

The food itself, however, left something to be desired. I ordered tempura crayfish for starters - which was not very tasty and then salmon with rice for mains. This was also terrible and I could have cooked better food at home myself, it was all rather tasteless.

The bill was extortionate for such mediocre food and the restaurant (plus most of the window table seats) were still vacant when we left at 11pm. We will not be visiting again - I'm sure we would have been a lot happier had the waitress been able to accommodate us at a table with a view on arrival. Unfortunately, our final impression of this restaurant was tainted as soon as we arrived and left a lot to be desired. The overdressed greeting staff who show you to your tables definitely need further training on etiquette. Why not make people happy and meet their requests when the restaurant is half empty? Especially if you are going to then serve them food, that quite frankly, tasted as if it had been cooked by an untrained chef.

Avoid at all costs.

“Great food, great service and beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

We loved this restaurant. The food and service were great. We loved the very contemporary atmosphere on top of the museum. It was a nice surprise to go out on the deck and see the Eiffel Tower as it sparkles at night. What a beautiful view! I don't recommend it for kids though. Eating there is a very long process and very slow. They really were not kid friendly as they say they are.

“Great view, good but pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013 via mobile

Went there for my last dinner in paris because of the recommended view, which was even nicer then the eiffel tower restaurant view. Expect to spend 75-100 euros per person for a three course meal not including drinks. But the food was delicious, all in all it was worth it.

“Go for the view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

The food is good, but the views are even better. The interior is contemporary and the waiters are smart looking and professional. I was there in November on a late Sunday afternoon. Order a glass of champagne and some snacks and watch the sunset. it's magical.
