“Mmm, couscous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

I didn't understand couscous until I came here. This place serves light, fluffy couscous with vast amounts of meat, sauce and vegetables. The staff are efficient without being friendly. It's a great place to go when you need comfort food.

“Mouthwatering comfort food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We were recommended Chez Omar for couscous, and it didn't disappoint. We got there early, which was a good thing because the place filled up quickly. The food was fuss-free, hot, delicious, especially the hot sauce accompaniment. After eating a lot of cold sandwiches in Paris, the hot vegetables were divine.
They don't accept credit cards, and the ambience is very casual, so be prepared for that.

“Couscous!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Basic menu but really tasty! We had chicken, vegetable, and the meat sampler dishes to accompany the couscous. We definitely over ordered for our family. If you're a couple, I'd recommend one dish to split. The servers were friendly, didn't speak much English, but were still very helpful.

A Great spot to try if you're looking to test the couscous cuisine waters!

“Love the couscous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

We went to Chez Omar specifically for the couscous and we weren't disappointed at all. The grain and the vegetables were done perfectly. The beef that my husband ordered with the couscous was tender, tasty and added to his happiness about the meal. The staff was attentive (though not too much), helpful and very friendly. Overall, it was a terrific meal in an interesting Paris neighborhood. Would definitely go there again - some of the best couscous I've ever tasted.
