“Charming waiter, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

I took two work colleagues for dinner and we enjoyed the steak tartare with excellent wine selected by the waiter, and delicious deserts. It is touristy but the food is good albeit pricey.

“Never again!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

Booked a table through Amex but it clearly had been overlooked by staff - that is when staff decided to acknowledge our presence. They were far more interested in talking to each other than finding us a table. After saying we wouldn't like to be seated right next to a table of perhaps 16 we were moved to a perfectly good table for two. Unfortunately the waiter on that station didn't match up to the table. Deadly slow service, with our aperitifs arriving only a few minutes before our starters. Asked for bottle of water - didn't arrive. Had to ask for that and bread from a different waiter. Food? Actually the onion soup was excellent, but forget the lamb sweetbreads. Tasted deep-fried and whatever they were served with was beyond identification. Wine very over-priced and the Rioja we asked for wasn't available. Beautiful room. Shame about the rest.

“nice room shame about the food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

We have used this restaurant on more than one occassion over the years. Lovely room with good service from the staff. The food however is fairly international blank. Given that the Intercontinental hotels have Mjchellin starred restaurants e. g. Amstel in Amsterdam, one could expect similar in Paris. Unfortunate this is not the case. Not exactly the cheapest place in town and one could eat better for the same price else where

“Tasteful Cafe Viennois”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

It was a rainy day. We sat in a small table outside so we felt all the Parisian atmosphere. We drank tasteful cafe viennois. You have the Opera in front of you and a big street to look at.
