Description: Brasserie La Lorraine restaurant right on Paris Place des Ternes near the Etoile offers a visit to another era, an elegant, superbly stylish one at that. Since the 1930s Brasserie La Lorraine has been one of the capitals landmarks, and it retains its fabulous Art Nouveau interior with hundred year-old mosaics, crystal chandeliers, sleekly styled seating and detailing (think ocean liner of the Noel Coward era and you wont be far off). The classic brasserie menu features fine ingredients in dishes like fresh oysters, grilled entrecote with barnaise and pommes frites, and babas au rhum, though the seafood is renowned for its excellence. Theres a terrace and everything is service with the personal touch.

“Still very good food but the crisis feels...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

There are unfortunately so many places in Paris with less than average food and service. This is so far NOT one of them. First of all, the dining room is quite spacious and you don't have to share limited space with other diners. If you book in advance, you may get a table by the window, with a view of people passing by. The food is very, very good and the service swift.
The seafood platter we ordered was all fresh and one serving was enough for two. The choucroute however, was smaller than before and looked a bit "undercut" but still tasted very good. The wine list is extensive.

“Excellent seafood platter and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Right on place des Ternes, a real parisian brasserie open late. Try the Royal seafood platter with all fresh seafood and crustaceans. very nice a la carte with french classics. Very large choice of wines, we had a Sancerre Pascal Jolivet. for dessert have a crepe suzette but ask your waiter to make it a la minute! Excellent service with a very attentive waiter who has been working there for over 40 years! A definite stop in paris!

The Brasserie has history, good location, and nice setting. The food is good, especially sea food. The service is good. Pricey.
