“Perfect location. Lovely staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

We visited best western hotel in Paris on February, it was a suprise valentines gift from my husband. We booked a standard room but when we got there the staff was lovely and so helpful they gave us a deluxe room which was much bigger. Staff is very helpful they help finding restaurants locations, they speak good english. The location was perfect only 10 minutes away from wagram square where all attractions, restaurants, cafes and gift shops are. Will be definitely visiting back.

From the minute we walked in we felt welcome at this hotel! The reception staff were so polite, courteous and helpful providing us with everything we needed! Not only did they make our stay enjoyable, easy and comfortable they were always ready to provide information like directions and where to eat.
The hotel is in an excellent location and easy to get to the metro as well as walk to the arc de triomphe. My husband was running the marathon and this was a perfect location.
We were travelling with our baby and they made us feel very welcome and provided everything we needed. This was definitely value for money! I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Location : Very close to the metro station (Wagram - Line 1), 15mins walk to Arc de Triomphe and another 15 mins to the Eiffel Tower via Champs Elysess. One can easily visit all major attractions via metro and all lines are well connected.

Travel: I would suggest you pick up a map from the station which will be very handy. If you are planning to complete more than 3 train journey via metro please use the one day pass costing 7euros and save money. This will also be valid for buses & tram/RER.

Food: There are many bistros and cafes next to the hotel and around Paris to enjoy good food. Note a few french words for food ingredients like Chicken, Beef, Soup, rice etc as all menus are in French.

Hotel & Service: We stayed on the ground floor and most of the rooms are road facing. It can get bit noisy if you are a light sleeper. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. We were earlier given a twin bed which was not very comfortable as a couple, this was later realized and corrected by the hotel staff without any hassle. The WIFI is free and works fine. We never tried the breakfast at the hotel as there are many other exciting places to eat around the hotel. The free locker with a secured password was very helpful to keep our valuables safe. The elevator is extremely small and wasn't working during our stay.

Attractions : Try to pick up the tickets for Eiffel & Louvre online as you may end up spending 2 - 3 hours in queue. Must visit Sacre Coeur market (behind the basilique) - painters, live music, cobbled roads, eatery. If taking a seine river cruise, try to take an open roof cruise during night, it is amazing. Be EXTRA CAREFUL with your belongings as pick-pockets are very common. Suggest to visit Eiffel via Trocadero, very good view of Eiffel tower. There is a flee market near to gare du nord station, good bargain but be careful with pick-pocketers.

Overall, very good experience & would like to visit again !

I've passed on your kind words to our team.
Indeed the location is ideal for visiting a lot of major sites around.
We are then lucky to be located on one of the most famous avenues near the Champs-Elysées while not suffering of the noise.
We look forward to welcoming you again.

We'd like to start this review by making it clear that the rating of 'Poor' mainly relates to the positioning of our room. We found it impossible to sleep, the room was next to the reception , meaning their music and every single person who came in at night woke us up.

In addition to the noise from the reception, we could hear every movement above us, including the running of taps. We wore earplugs and could still hear the murmurs of our neighbours. The repetitive music in reception was kindly turned off at 10:30pm at our request, but on again by 7:30am the next morning. The ground floor room also has two windows overlooking the street, meaning you can't open your windows for fresh air at night, unless you're happy to be gassed in your insomnia by cigarette smoke. It's also exceptionally small, and not what we'd expect for a 4 star hotel.

On the plus side, the hotel has a good location- moments from the Metro, and the staff are pleasant and friendly. The complimentary toiletries and coffee were also great.

Unfortunately, since the hotel room did not at all serve the purpose for which we booked it- to get a good night's sleep before the Paris Marathon, we can only give this hotel 2 stars. If you have ears, and are hoping to get some sleep whilst in Paris, we would not recommend this hotel, at least, not the ground floor room.

Room Tip: Never accept the ground floor!

Dear Host, Dear "LisaJemma",

We took aknowledge of your feedback and are sorry for not meeting your expectations.
We would have rather preferred to satisfy you as we manage to do so normally, taking good note your deception was mainly explained by the location of your room on the ground floor.
I defintitely think in regards to your words that you would have felt a lot better in a Deluxe room with larger space, on upper floor, and with either a queen sized bed or two beds also available.
So sorry for the smell as we usually always take great care of that.
My team and I definitely remain at your disposal in case you would do us the favour of coming back to our hotel in the future, and then proposing you other offers among your booking, and definitely an upper floor (we've got 8 floors in total).

Kind Regards
Guillaume Marchand

Nice hotel close to the Wagram metro station. Good neighborhood with bakery and grocery shops close by. Rooms are not big but decent size. Clean and well kept. Room 710 has a small balcony. I would recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western from 12th - 14th March 2015. We were very happy with the hotel - it was in a really nice location, close to the Arc de Triomphe. Wagram metro station was a 2 minute walk, and there were some lovely bistros on Wagram avenue - we went to a bistro/restaurant which served delicious and value for money food called Le Poncelet.

The hotel itself was simple but had everything we could have needed. The hotel room was spacious, we had a mini bar and there were L'Occitane products in the bathroom. There was a buffet breakfast served every morning with a good selection of food - you could choose between cooked or continental.

The staff were very helpful and gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. They also booked a tour to the Palace of Versailles which included being picked up straight from the hotel and being dropped back.

All in all we would highly recommend it!

Good location for the metro Wagram station and the room is absolutely clean.
Easily find the supermarket nearby the Monoprix and Carrefour express with google map.
It takes about 20 minutes to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-elysee street by walk.
During my stay, February, The elevator was not working and that's only one inconvenience to us.
