“Perfect for the Eurostar”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Fantastic location for the Gare du Nord, just across the road. Asked for a quiet room on a high floor as rooms facing the road are obviously noisy. My room on the 4th floor facing the courtyard was quiet except it was right by the lift. Room was small with a massive comfortable bed but the bathroom was a very strange shape. Only really suitable for single occupancy. Breakfast was extra and not that great considering the cost of one night's stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard facing room if you don't want to hear the traffic.

Stayed at this hotel with my family earlier this month, the location was perfect but the "privilege" room that we were given was in a very sorry state. The carpets was dirty, tiles in the bathroom were all cracked. I could not believe that this was the state of their privilege room. Definitely not staying here again.

My daughter and I had a split trip to Paris- 2 days, then to London, then back to Paris for another 5 days. We chose this hotel for the first 2 nights for logistic reasons. As we were to catch the Eurostar to London, we did not want the hassle or stress of taxis or metro to ensure our morning departure . This hotel is literally across the road from the gare du nord- in itself a magnificent building. We decided to do the touristy things near here- 20 minute walk to Sacre Coeur- truly magnificent, the Montmartre area and cemetery, and we jumped on the metro to Galleries Lafayette also. We had a room on the 5th floor- small but perfect- Juliette balcony with views over rooftops to Sacre Coeur. Super comfy beds (twin) and excellent staff. We did not opt for breakfast as we felt it was expensive, but the nearby cafes were more so.
This is not a nice area to stay- many, many beggars and homeless, and women asking us to "sign". We pretended we didn't speak English or French and they left us alone, but it was a little confronting for my daughter.
In short, the hotel is perfect if you need to be in this area. It suited us and our needs, but on our return we stayed in the Marais. Happy to answer questions.

I used to stay at Mercure Paris Terminal Nord because of its excellent location right opposite to Gare du Nord. Friendly and helpful staffs as always and they're committed to give room as you desired. Spacious room as compared to average Paris hotel standard. But a bit disappointed during my recent stay in this hotel in Early Dec. Just shocked & scary to find a cockroach (live) in bathroom, luckily I'm about to check out that morning. Thus, I think hotel should take better pest control. Apart from that, bathroom is quite torn and required renovation. Though overall room is spacious (Rm 616), window facing Gare du Nord but surprisingly quiet.

Room Tip: Room at higher floor give better view, can ask for room more nearer to lift, because some rooms at t...

Beautiful building, well located for the Eurostar Terminal and Gare du Nord.

But the dream ends here.

Filthy bedroom with some stained faux-leather around the bed. We did not dare use the bathroom... as it was dirty and damaged.
And that was after we complained and asked to be moved to a different room.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Unless you enjoy tracking DNA on the faux-leather, CSI style....

Stayed here many times as the hotel nearest to Eurostar arrivals at Gare du Nord, So excellent location.
Inside, the place has a faded area and substantial renovation is long overdue. The room numbering is very confusing, which I cannot easily master. Lift locations are not clear.
This time we had room 326 - a <Privilege> room - which was spacious with large double bed from two singles joined together. It was comfortable
BUT it was directly opposite the Station and did NOT have double glazing. I often have street-facing rooms here but this is the first time I recall hearing the traffic noise outside.
Check in was slow, with rooms not available when we arrived at 13.00. Despite having Platinum level loyalty card, we had to wait until 15.00 to get our room. Not good enough!
Tariff this time was good as Paris seemed not to have so many business travellers.

Room Tip: Ask if street facing room has double glazing to reduce traffic noise (326 does not)

Room 520 was a very nice spacious room with perfect facilities.
Location of the hotel is more than perfect.
Breakfast was a bit weak, needs to have more choices.
Service was very good.
Price is quite expensive. but at the end, I really enjoyed my stay there.
