“A wonderful trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

We went to Paris before Christmas 2013 and we decided to go to this hotel because its localitation and price.
We arrive to Gare de Lyon by train from the airport and the hotel is very close to ir, just 5 minutos by foot.

The room wasn't very big but enough for 2 people. It has a bathroom with shower, WC, sink, towels and soap. And every very very clean! The room had a double bed, a desk with a chair, a small wardrove, a TV and aircontioning.

We had the breakfast and it was a hot drink, an orange juice, 1 croisant and 1 pain au chocolat, and some toast.

We just use the Mètro two times because you can go every where walking. For example, Notre Dame is 20 minutes by foot.

The service was really nice!

I will recomend this hotel.

This hotel is by far the best 2 star hotel I have stayed in, in Paris. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are quite big, as is the bathroom. The beds are super comfortable, the shower was great.
The location is brilliant. Two minutes walk from Gare de Lyon, it is in a busy bustling area.Bastille is 5 minutes walk and the Marais district is around 10 minutes walk. You have a selection of Metro stops very close by, Gare de Lyon being the closest but also handy to Bastille or Gare Austerlitz.
The hotels prices are ultra competitive, and this place may genuinely be one of the few bargains you will ever get in Paris. Really could find no fault with this hotel.

The rooms were a reasonable size for 2 stars and the bathroom was nice enough. The location is excellent but the soundproofing on the windows was not great and the aircon hardly made a difference. The service was excellent.

We stayed here in early August 2013 in a family room for 3. At the outset let me say that the Hotel is in a fantastic location - Gare de Lyon and Bastille (metro) are only a few hundred metres away - making this is pretty decent base for exploring Paris. There is a small Carrefour on the street for basic meals - as well as a broad range of decently priced restaurants nearby.

The accommodation itself was basic - but we had a surprisingly large room (for Paris). Tiny but functional bathroom. On the downside, no refigerator and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (however you could get these at a machine by the reception). I would also add a note of caution that the elevator is tiny (3 people max) so if you are not a light traveller, or have dificulty with stairs, it's probably not the hotel for you (we just walked the stairs to our 4th floor room each time).

Reception staff were polite and responsive to our requests. Our booking came with breakfast which consisted of tea/coffee/juice + a basket of various breads + cheese & jam + a fruit compote. Nothing fancy - but still a decent breakfast.

There is no doubt this is budget hotel, but those (like us) who just want clean accommodation, a decent shower and a great location this hotel is definitely worth a look. We would definitiely stay here again.

Room Tip: Higher rooms looking over the street are pleasant for people-watching, whilst allowing you to also c...

I stayed here with my mum on a recent trip to Paris and it ticked all the boxes for us - cheap, clean, safe and right next to the metro line (Gare de Lyon).

To add to that there was a lovely boulangerie across the road for breakfast, a restaurant called Le Tarmac just up the road serving lovely lunch, dinner and fabulous cocktails and Bastille - a lively neighbourhood is within walking distance.

My mum had previously only stayed in the city centre in Paris and loved the neighbourhood feel of this area. The prices in the area overall are much better value than the centre.

If you are a light sleeper however, I would not recommend this hotel as the street outside is busy and noisy at night. This wasn't an issue for us, we were so tired from sightseeing everyday we would have slept through anything!

Recommended for value and location.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very friendly staff and an awesome area. It is not a four-star hotel, but if all you want is a clean place to sleep and shower, then this is perfect!! To me, it felt cozy and accommodating. I would stay there again.

This was my second stay in that hotel. It's fantastically located; only about 150m from Gare de Lyon. The river Seine, Place de la Bastille and Viaduc des Art are all at walking distance.

The rooms are tiny but clean. The service at the reception desk is great. We had several questions and asked for reservations to be made. Everything was done at once and free of charge.

There was a small problem with a wet cloth that had been forgotten and soaked a pair of pyjamas and a pillow. The reaction to our complaint was dealt with promtly and generously.

Room Tip: Ask for a room to the back as the Route de Lyon is a busy one.
