“Nice Place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

If you like to visit the City of Paris. Close to the Metro Station châtelet, where many Lines meet. Nice Rooms, friendly Service. They have only just renovated Several Rooms and Bathrooms. We recommend the Rooms on fourth floor ( under the Roof)

We returned to this hotel after staying here in 2009. The street has become a lot more built up, with new bars and restaurants which also bring extra noise outside. We stayed for 3 nights but didn't manage a lie in any morning due to early morning noise outside, from drunks to bin men, to bottle collectors and a hotel worker deciding to work at some drilling before 8 am in the morning! The hotel has recently got a makeover which makes it lovely and fresh, rooms still small though and bathroom tiny. Staff are nice and friendly enough. Fab location, close to metro and central attractions. Prices have increased for the hotel to pay for the makeover I presume. May stay here again but would definitely shop around too!!

I stayed at this hotel with friends after doing an extensive search on hotels in Paris. My friends had stayed here before and on their recommendation we chose this hotel and I am so pleased that we did. The location of this hotel cannot be beaten. It is right beside the Chatelet metro station which has good connections to most metro lines, it is a block away from the Seine and walking distance to many of the tourist attractions, it has some great restaurants in walking distance and also close to shopping and a supermarket.

The rooms are not large but that it very normal in Paris. They are clean and tidy and large enough to sleep and shower in. There is no air conditioning and the rooms were very warm when we stayed in July but fans are provided that helped with sleeping at night.

All staff were friendly and there is also free wi-fi available. I will stay here again next time I come to Paris.

Room Tip: Our group chose twin rooms for couples otherwise the beds are double beds.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel two weeks ago. It is excellent value for money and we choose to return to it (we stayed here last year as well) Perfect location at the Chatelet - gorgeous restaurants nearby, and we managed to grab some tickets for the Theatre next door (Don Quixote) by the Vienna Ballet and Orchestra!

Rooms are clean and tidy and bathroom was just fine. Towels/beds changed daily. Front-desk service extremely friendly and helpful.

Our group had booked 4 rooms - all were different and all just perfect. I would suggest twin beds if you are a couple. The double beds are small (we are used to a Super-King!). With the heat of July - easier to sleep in a single bed.

Definitely will return to the Chatelet - it is our Hotel of choice.

Room Tip: we had a room on Level 1 which, as some others have mentioned, could be noisy from street-noise, but...

We have stayed here twice - last time in 2008 - and most recently in June 2013. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. Lovge the micro lift that has been installed in the stairwell. Takes 1 and a suitcase. The location is what makes this so great. One block back from the Seine and only a 15-20 minute walk to the Louvre. Metro at the door and plenty of great cafes nearby. Would stay again.

Room Tip: The first floor overlooks the quite busy night spots nearby and be prepared to hear a lot of emegere...

We ( 6 of us) stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in early July.
We arrived around noon and the rooms were ready. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Their response was prompt.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. I especially like the chair, very stylish.
The hotel is in zone 1, safe, with good eating places nearby. Near metro, walking distance to many attractions including Lourve and Notre Dame.
Near the River Seine, we enjoyed so much walking along the river bank.
Will definitely stay again.
