“Amazing again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

We stayed at Jays over the 2012/2013 New Year. This was our second stay and they truly do an amazing job! The staff go out of their way to help make your stay at the hotel and in Paris easy and memorable. The location is great and very quiet. From the breakfast to the afternoon champagne you will not be disappointed!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. Even the smaller empire room is fun! That is the only room that faces the s...

My wife and I spent a fantastic 5 days at Jay’s in Paris!! This is one of the most beautiful boutique hotels I have stayed at in my 60+ years. The hotel has just five rooms so you are truly pampered by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Jay’s located on a quiet side street about 4 blocks from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees – just far enough from the tourists but convenient if you want to visit there.

The first floor consists of a spacious area where you can sit, rest and have a glass of champagne or drink of your choice. A stunning stairway takes you to the rooms on the second and third floor. The rooms themselves are huge (unlike many French hotels), elegantly appointed, equipped with king size beds and a fully equipped bath and shower. The bath has amenities from Hermes to give you a sense of the quality you will find at Jay’s. Every square inch of the hotel is absolutely spotless. A lovely breakfast area is in the basement level where the staff will wheel out a serving cart of baguettes, croissants, jellies, coffee and juices. Flat screen cable TV’s are in every room and the free WIFI is strong and fast. A big Apple computer is on the main floor for guest use if you didn’t bring your own iPad or computer.

The hotel staff, led by the owner Judy, is simply extraordinary. Because there are only five rooms, you receive highly personalized attention at all times. Their English is impeccable but if you want to practice your French (as we did), they are incredibly patient and very willing teachers. And if you need help with a reservation, taxi or recommendations for shopping, I have never experienced such a fantastic level of assistance!

Jay’s will arrange for their chauffer to pick you up at the airport and bring your bags right to your room. And if you need a taxi to go somewhere, they will arrange it “Toute de Suite”. Jay’s is a few steps from a major bus stop and about 20 meters from a Velib bike station. You can walk a long block in either direction and find a Metro station. So like most places in Paris, superb transportation is always available nearby.

I guarantee that you have a spectacular visit at Jay’s! I can’t wait for our next visit!!

Stayed at Jays with my husband and nine year old for my 40th birthday. Our room on the top floor was so enormous it was like having a very large studio apartment - absolutely perfect for us and our stay. There was a mini kitchen too so for younger families heating milk etc would not have been a problem. We felt like we really got to know the members of staff who were all really friendly but not obtrusive.
Wonderful comfy beds - I do struggle to sleep away from home but slept like a log at Jays.
Lots of cafes nearly if you want something other than a continental breakfast, same with groceries for night time champagne - the hotel could do a roaring trade if they stocked a few bits! Very nice touches like all the Hermes and clarins freebies.
We had a really lovely send off - they waved us off with some very kind words and two lovely birthday presents - followed up with a charming email at home. It was almost like staying with friends :)

If you are driving then be prepared with local car park locations as depending when you arrive the nearly road parking is of course busy. Duh. Why didn't we think of that?

Room Tip: Our room did not have a view but was enormous and nice and quiet

This hotel feels like you are hosted in the private Paris residence of an elegant international Jet-Setter...very special
The decor is tasteful and the rooms are very spacious.
Only bad thing is the absence of elevator which is not ideal when you want to go in and out often and are on the second floor.

We stayed at this quaint hotel for 3 nights and it was perfect. 5 minute walk to Le Etoile and 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Very close to Kleber metro stop. Very near numerous cafes. The service was excellent. Philip and Jorge were extremely helpful with walking instructions and restaurant reservations. The room for 3 (fantasy suite) was quiet, large, and very comfortable.

Paris is my favorite city in the world, and Jays Paris is my favorite hotel. One word to describe it best would be...perfect. Staying at Jays is an unforgettable experience. I've been to Paris many times and have stayed in all types of accommodations from Best Western to the glamorous Westin. None of these places can offer you what Jays can, and that is the feeling of "coming home." The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, unlike any other in this bustling city. They make you feel like family, and after long days of sightseeing, I was always ready to return to a warm welcome at Jays. And the rooms..the rooms are BEAUTIFUL...Hermes toiletries, color-coordinated decor, and a fruit and chocolate tray left on my bed each afternoon. Every moment spent in my room I was overcome with the feeling of "now this is Paris." I can't wait to return some day, and I won't stay anywhere else.

We only had 3 nights in Paris, so we wanted to stay in a strategically located area. Found this hotel after checking out dozens of hotels on trip advisor and reading the reviews on them. Jays had fab reviews from all and so we decided to book it. There were 3 of us, so they recommended a bigger room for us and sure enough when we checked into our room, we found it HUGE, even with the extra bed set up! The hotel is located on a quiet street in the Trocadero, just close enough to the super touristy Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee, but not too close that we would have to sidestep a tourist every time we left the hotel door.

The hotel arranged for an airport pickup when we arrived early on a Saturday morning, and when we got to the hotel at about 930am, we were expecting to just leave our bags and return at a later time to check-in but since the room was unoccupied and ready, they kindly let us check in early. It really is a super nice small hotel (with only 5 rooms I almost didn’t want to write a review because then too many people would know about it and it would be hard for us to book it the next time we come to Paris!) with great staff who were all very welcoming, and super helpful. Every staff we communicated with for help and suggestions was super informative and helpful. We really felt at home at Jays. In the afternoons, when we came back for a short rest, they would send up beautifully decorated sliced fruits (a nice touch) and breakfast was a nice spread of fresh croissants, cereals, breads, jams, etc. My mom appreciated the Bvlgari and Hermes bathroom toiletries and there is even an oven and a sink tastefully concealed in the room. I especially loved the chocolates :)

When we booked our room, Jays sent us an email with its restaurant recommendations which was 5 pages long. Depending on what we felt like, they helped us make dinner reservations for all three nights we stayed with them, and all three places were excellent. They said they updated their restaurant lists every month. This I thought was also a very nice touch. My mom also appreciated all the fresh flowers that were all about the hotel.
All in all, we had a great stay at Jays and we have already told our friends about it. We would definitely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return to stay at it.
