“Great location ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

A great location 5 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe in a quiet side street. Very comfortable and spacious room. Pleasant and efficient service. Breakfast was disappointing : pokey room in the basement, tables not cleared away and supplies not replenished. Better do your own thing in a local café. However, as a hotel, can be thoroughly recommended.

small hotel - only 11 rooms on five floors - in a quiet side street a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe.
The best nights sleep i've had in a hotel for years - we may have dropped lucky as we were on the top floor with only one other room and i'm not sure that was occupied throughout our stay hence the chances of extraneous noise spoilng your sleep was limited - but top marks for sleep quality.
room was a good size, clean and comfortable and had good air con - essential for our stay in august.
staff helpful and freindly
breakfast room tiny but sufficient choice to start your day off well (continental style breakfast)
hotel only 2 mins walk from nearest metro
plenty of places to eat/drink close by

only negative would be the lack of facilities - some may prefer a hotel with a bar/restaurant + no tea/coffee making facilities in bedrooms.
but would definitely recommend for its location/ sleep quality

other recommedations close by would be the brasserie opposite the church in place st-ferdinand for great food at reasonable prices (12/13 euros for a main course) and the brasserie round the corner in avenue Mcmahon for a great steak and its happy hour, 6-9pm? half price beer/cocktails well worth it when most places charge 9 euros for a large beer!!

Room Tip: we had room 11 on top floor (superior double even though we had only booked a standard double) - ni...

Quite small yet very chic hotel, only 11 rooms!! Decent size room, well decorated and with air-con added extra comfort in the August heat. Our room was a triple room with a double bed and a single bed, very comfy beds and fantastic soft pillows unlike the traditionally French logs we have experienced. The bathroom was well appointed with big showers. The lift was very small but not the problem as we preferred to use the stairs. The hotel located just of the Arc de Triomphe, made it perfect base for exploring the city and plenty of restaurants and cafe's nearby.

I recently spent 6 nights at the Sofital Arc deTriomphe and had a wonderful stay. The rooms renovations were completly done with "to die for comfortable" beds and large, large bathrooms which is usually a problem in Europe. Huge shower stalls with rain showers and a spray option which again is usually not the status quo in Europe. There are some renovations still going on but only in the stairwell and the basement. The renovations had no negative effect on our stay. We never heard them. The concierge was very accomadating as was the front staff. I asked for an ironing board and it was in the room before I even got up to my room! That is superb service. Breakfast was very nice and I think almost always included. My only negative comment is that the bar service was slow and very expensive. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for dinner . There are too many great little restaurants within walking distance that are much more interesting to visit. I don't think dinner is one of their focuses. Ask the concierge and he will be more than happy to help book wherever you want. If you want to go to one of the the top ten restuarants in Paris you have to book months in advance. If you call or email the coneierge they will do this for you. I highly recommend the 2nd floor rest. in the Eiffel Tower...Le Verde Juene (or somthing along those lines). Unbelievable service, great food but the rest. is cold so dress accordingly. All in all, I highly reocmmend the Sofitel. I would definately stay there again on my next visit to Paris. The location is awesome!

Room Tip: If you want a good view state this when you check in. This was not important to us as we didn't...

The hotel is in great location to get to anywhere in Paris. If coming from the airport the shuttle buses drop off just round the corner and the metro is a couple of 100metres from the hotel. The hotel itself is in a very quiet road. The hotel itself it small with only 11 bedrooms. The elevators is definitely on the small side and not good for anyone with a phobia of elevators. Also in our room, you could hear the elevator going all and down, which did get annoying. The stairs are also very narrow, we did not carry our baggage up the stairs, but I don't think it would be a easy experience. We had a twin room which was very spacious with 2 wardrobes. The downsides was no way of making a hot drink and some people do like a hot drink in the morning. The air conditioner was very loud, as it was very hot when we were there, we had to keep it on all night, also there was a bright blue light on the air con, which illuminated the room all night. The bathroom was small, they could have took a bit of space from the room to give the bathroom some more space. The shower was not the greatest and didn't warm very well, Staff were very pleasant and spoke very good English. Overall I recommend this hotel but only for a few days stay,

Currently in our fourth day of a five night stay at Arc De Triomphe hotel and my wife and I are very impressed with this property. Firstly the location itself just can't be beaten, 400m from the Arc De Triomphe and Champs Elyssees (perfect for Tour de France!) and excellent restaurants/patisseries nearby, and access to Metro. Staff at the hotel have been very helpful and courteous and the room itself has been perfect. Clean and whilst small (expected for Paris), it is much bigger than the last property we stayed at in Paris and was very comfortable!! I would definitely recommend and stay here again when we return in future!

Lets start out with the positives !

Location, location, location ! Out the lobby to the right, first restaurant to your left Graindoger. Fantastic three course meal for $35 euros. Continue to the end of street , turn left one short block and a bakery, two wine bars and a butcher shop. ALL great !
Go out of the lobby turn left and turn right at the end of the street...40 feet and to your right is the Arc de Triumph down the street..need I say more... staff is helpful and courteous.
Negatives... room is small(welcome to PARIS), but fairly clean...elevator holds two people inches away from each other. Computer in lobby has a virus..don't use it or it will steal your e-mail and bank info.

Room Tip: All rooms are the exact same size...two rooms per floor..so no difference.
