I loved everything about our stay here.
It was my birthday present and it could not have been any more perfect!
The Staff were very friendly, the hotel was just gorgeous - the vibrant colours, all the design features, all the little touches that made everything that little bit more special.
Seriously what could be better than laying in your bed and looking up at a starry ceiling? :)
Not the most spacious but you get so many other things instead.
Perfect for couples.

My wife and I have just returned from Paris for our first wedding anniversary having stayed five days at The Five Hotel.

Before we arrived I had been in contact with the hotel to see if there was anything I could do to help make the anniversary that bit more special. The lovely Fiora helped me greatly and gave me many options for a surprise for my wife, which incidentally she loved. I found the service to be absolutely excellent and felt that the hotel had gone well beyond the call of duty.

When we arrived at the hotel the reception was very welcoming. They explained the process of the hotel and invited us into the love capsule whilst everyone is being prepared with the surprise I had planned for my wife. The Love Capsule was a lovely engaging red room which also houses the honesty bar which you could use on an ad hoc basis.

Our room itself was absolutely perfect very special and unlike any other hotel room we had stayed in before. Although it was small and had no bath we weren't left wanting for anything during the stay. On arrival into the room there was a red rose with rose petals on the bed and a box of fine chocolates and a box for my wife and I. A bottle of Tattinger also follow later.

We found the staff to be extremely helpful and courteous. Every morning they would be very happy and friendly towards you and every evening would ask you how your day has been an whether you have enjoyed yourself. This personal touch really helped to make this a memorable for us.

During the five days we covered most of the key tourist attractions and we feel that for now we will not be returning to Paris in a hurry as there are other places we want to visit. However, if we were to return we would have no qualms whatsoever about revisiting The Five, or trying other hotels owned by the group (One by The Five, or Seven).

Dear Mohamed M,

It's my turn to be clear and precise in my comment.

First of all, I am enjoyed to read your words concerning my staff and your comments for cleanless and design : they are most important for me to read that our univers is friendly; it is one our goal in our adventure.

On the other hand, I am sorry to read that you was witness ,of this sad conversation : believe we do not contact police service everyday for our staff, how could we have all congratulations from our guests????

Your comment on our environnment cannot be generalized, we are in Paris and I am sorry that during your stay with us there were so much troubles on the street.

Finally, I need to understand exactly why you hate our breakfast :you are not very clear.
is it for bad quality, no fresh food.... or because we did not provide your breakfast dreamed??? That would be so interesting for us to know, because if you come back, it will be a pleasure for us to show you WE CAN!!!

Wow! How could one not think of Paris as the city of love after staying at 'One by the Five'? If you want to experience the romance of this fine city, may I suggest that this is the place to make it happen. Two nights will leave you with a feeling of total detachment from the real world and allow you to explore and experience all 6 senses (yes 6). All is tastefully explained to you upon arrival and then the rest is up to you. Simply amazing.

My husband and I travel to Paris frequently - this was a last-minute trip and, being Fashion Week, accommodation was hard to find. We had never stayed at The Five before and had no idea what to expect.

It is not in a part of Paris we are familiar with and it is a little further out than we would normally choose to stay. In saying that, the nearest Metro station is within easy walking distance.

We were greeted at reception with a warm welcome and given all the information we needed. Our room was spotlessly clean and extremely quiet - so quiet, in fact, that on the first night we couldn't sleep - we were disturbed by the sound of someone talking - (quite far off from what we could tell). Eventually we discovered we could close the door outside our room that lead to the stairwell and this solved the problem. The bed was really comfortable and beautifully made.

The bathroom - perfectly clean - towels, larger than usual in Paris which is always a nice surprise.

On the downside, the room was tiny, even by Parisian standards (in this price bracket). The shower was probably the smallest we had ever encountered anywhere in Europe but - once again - it was beautifully maintained and clean as a whistle. The water pressure was great.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment but the breakfast room looked to be set up with alot of care and attention.

On our last morning, we asked reception to call for a taxi. We are used to the availability of Parisian taxis being a total lottery - but, after half an hour, a taxi arrived which proved to be the taxi for the people who arrived after us at reception.

Tanya, the lovely and unflappable receptionist, apologized, called the taxi company again and it seemed out taxi was 'lost'. We were told we'd have to wait another ten minutes. Nothing happened. By this time, the hotel reception was full of people needing Tanya's attention - some checking out, others needing directions - she never once wavered in her care and attention to detail for every one of us and amidst what must have been the busiest hour of her day, she continued to hound the taxi company relentlessly for us. Eventually our taxi came - and with profuse apologies from Tanya, we were on our way. We have stayed in many hotels around the world and paid many times more than what we paid at The Five and have received much poorer service. For this reason, I would most definitely recommend The Five. If you don't mind being a little bit off the beaten track (and once again, the nearest Metro is just a short walk away), and if you want a clean and exceptionally quiet room - this would be a good choice.

Very clean room, very courteous staff, very romantic week.

keep in mind when the site says located in quartier latin it is actually at the end of it where the 5eme meets the 13eme. However Rue Mouffetard is 2 minutes by foot and provides for many restaurants and shops, otherwise the metro is 500 meters away and will take you anywhere. The actual metro stop Les Gobelins in on the 7th line and passes by most tourist locations, or you will need to change lines maximum once.
I really advise this hotel for couples.
