“Absolutely wonderful hotel with an amazing staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

The staff at the hotel, especially the front desk staff, were truly the best I've experienced. They were helpful even before we arrived at the hotel. I had some issues arranging our travel plans which they totally assisted me with thereby alleviating what could have been a very stressful period. (I was planning to propose to my now fiancé.) And when we arrived they were so helpful throughout our stay that it made our time in Paris a dream. The hotel is also very charming, the rooms are great, and it's location was perfect! The bar is a really cool amenity and it came in handy the night of our proposal.

The hotel is very quaint, and in a perfect location if you're visiting Paris for the first time, or to see the sights. It's less than 3 blocks to the Eiffel Tower, and just steps from 2 Metro lines. Front desk staff was very nice and accomodating. Elevator is TINY, only 1 person and bags at a time. 2 people with no bags max. Also be prepared to leave your room key at the front desk when you leave the hotel. The room is very small, but with a little creativity, you can get your bags situated and be comfortable. We were traveling on a 6 week trip coming back from India, so we each had 2 large suitcases each, and managed just fine. The bathroom is very nice. There's a great little crepe shop right outside the hotel as well!

As with many European hotels, the room was very tiny. It was a double room, but I can't fathom how two people and two bags would have fit - I ended up having to lay my suitcase on the floor beside the side of the bed I didn't sleep on. The only thing smaller was the elevator, in which I could barely fit myself, my backpack, and my suitcase!

The tiny room aside, the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. It was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great - literally right across from the Bir Hakeim metro station and about a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Wifi is included, which is a definite perk.

One downside was the temperature of the room. It was sweltering! The thermostat was always set to 22, and each day I would turn it down to 18. Perhaps it was broken, but even at 18 it was very warm. Another was the lack of electrical outlets in the bathroom. I've found this to be a European thing in general, but it's a bit annoying for using a hair straightener or anything.

Overall a good stay. I would return, but probably upgrade to a bigger room.

We booked the Hotel Eiffel Seine a couple of weeks before our trip based on other reviews and the location. After our taxi driver drove straight past it (!) upon our arrival from CDG we were greeted with a warm welcome and were able to check-in early. The hotel is located on a very busy street and if you blink you will miss it! Look out for the creperie stall on the very corner opposite the Metro, this is where you will need to disembark. Our early check-in was a great help as we quickly unpacked and got on with our sightseeing straight away. The room was so tiny we didn't know where to put our case but we'd read about the small rooms in Paris previously so it wasn't an issue. The hotel is decorated well, a touch tired-looking in some areas but overall aesthetically pleasing. The rooms have complimentary tea and coffee but you will have to fight over them as there is only one tea bag and one sachet of coffee, plus there is only enough milk for one cup!! We were only given 3 pillows (for two people) initially so we had to call down for another. This did take a while but one was broughtup to our room eventually. The bathroom is large considering the size of the bedroom and the shower is very powerful and very hot, probably one of the best I have used! I have very long hair and it took no time with that!! On the downside, the shower tray took a long time to drain so we had a mini flood on the first night.
The mini bar is very reasonable especially when considering in some cafes we paid €13 for two espressos! The honesty bar is a good idea too but sadly we didn't find the time to use it.
Overall we were very impressed with the Hotel Eiffel Seine, it is about 6 mins walk to the Eiffel tower and within arms reach of the Metro. We made it to the Louvre from the hotel via the Metro in under fifteen minutes!
Our only gripe is that we were in Paris to celebrate my 30th and subsequently we got engaged there and despite my partner emailing ahead to the hotel they made no effort to acknowledge this. A small note/card or even chocolates or upgrade would have been a nice gesture. We often go away for our birthdays and hotels elsewhere usually make a fuss. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family primarily due to the location and the helpfulness and cheerfulness of the staff.

As you'd expect with Paris, the room was very small to begin with, so much so that we ended up paying an additional 30 odd euros per night to upgrade to their largest room - well worth the investment, we could barely move in the first room, and it faced onto the street, which was slightly unnerving. The second room faced into the courtyard and was very spacious. The proximity to the Eiffel Tower is what sells this hotel, and on that it delivers. It's an easy 10 minute stroll to get there (you could probably do it in 5 if you walked a bit faster). The staff were pleasant during our stay, and were helpful with directions and train information. For example, being our first time in Paris, we only knew about the metro stations, and not the RER. The concierge pointed us to the RER station just across the road, meaning that we went to St Michel, and then from there, to CDG.

So where to take your sister for her first visit to Paris? My parther and I made a rash promise for a 30th birthday trip. We've stayed at large and small hotels over the years and wanted this to be a great introduction for our sister to a city we love.

I scoured the reviews and came across the Eiffel Seine. So glad that we did, it's a great place right by the Metro, right by the Eiffel Tower, the river .. all making it an excellent base for our whirlwind tour. The welcome was warm and friendly and the rooms all that we needed for our stay. We mainly ate out but had breakfast on our final day. Breakfast was excellent with the buffet replenished even towards the end of the morning session.

The rooms are not huge but then you're staying in a small hotel with character not a chain. We had a club room which was slightly larger for the two of us while our sister had the standard - all well kept and furnished to a good standard.

First time in Paris and the Hotel and staff were amazing. Very clean and affordable rooms and a great location only a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower. Hotel staff was very helpful with any questions we had, and helped arrange our trip to back to the airport. Would recommend to anyone and would stay here again.
