“Central but business rooms located on ground floor : somewhat noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

The rooms are clean and modern. Somewhat small but ideal for a business trip or someone interested in exploring the city. Located very near to Gallerie Lafayette and has good links to the metro -a few mins walk to opera or Quatre-Septembre stations. Business room that I had was on the ground floor, by the street and noisy. I asked to change and was given a different room but also (as are all these type)on the ground floor near the elevator which was noisy sometimes. To upgrade to a higher floor they asked for a rip off triple the price. Still overall was a good stay for a business trip. Room was very modern even came with an espresso machine. But if you can avoid Paris in general I would reccomend to do so as the city is a haven for beggars, thieves, and muggers and very dirty.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on ground floor.

Great fresh clean hotel in Paris within the Opera District. Only 5 minutes walk to the Opera Garnier. Also very close to museums and shopping areas. The hotel had a lot of cafes and restaurants around. Being only 40 mins from the Airport on the Metro really made this hotel an ideal place to stay. The staff were very friendly especially Valentina who made our stay extra special. Nothing was an issue to her. Thank you Valentina!!

I have to say, we received a reasonable last minute deal, which for Paris was a decent price, but still expensive for other major European capital. Sadly however, this was the final room, and one of the worst. It was in the reception, and I echo other reviewers comments.....AVOID as these should instead be given to some of the many local homeless living on the surrounding streets, and not paying guests! You cannot have the curtains opens due to windows directly to the street leaving the room in full view of pedestrians, and we simply had to move out after one night. When leaving the room on Sunday morning, there was a gentleman sitting directly outside the door on a sofa placed right there, who could have heard everything we had just been discussing, and in saying that, so could the reception staff at all times. Don't make ANY noise, as somebody will hear you! The staff reacted well to our issues, upgrading us to a choice of better rooms upstairs, but perhaps not understanding our desires to leave. However, the next room which was the highest grade had no room to move around the bed, and all throughout the night, the heating was going crazy, keeping me awake as it kept randomly turning the room into a sauna. I then had to open the window at freezing temperatures, which left me with a cold. Equally, we had a very bad allergic reaction in both rooms, which we can only assume was caused by a pretty potent smelling fragrance used by housekeeping. On the Monday morning, at 12.00.15 (seconds), reception was calling us to be sure we were about to check-out. This really got my back up, especially after not sleeping, which ruined my weekend in Paris. Breakfast is OK, good that it is included, the main reason for choosing this hotel, but dry and bland. Burnt scrambled eggs + burnt bacon and smelly sausage....serve yourself on the smallest possible plate, with a tiny spoon to try and pick up the eggs, and little fork to try to grab some bacon and sausages, which get stuck on it and you must use your fingers to force the food onto the plate. Drove us mad, and very impractical. On the plus side, the location is good, especially if like us, you are a fan of Japanese food, maybe 100 restaurants to chose from within a 5 minute walking radius. The rooms have high quality facilities and TV's, but when the live French football of Monaco v Marseille came on, all I actually wanted to watch all weekend, CANAL TV was then all of a sudden encrypted during this period as clearly the hotel had not paid to subscribe. Merci Beaucoup for that! The hotel has a nice little pool and spa, but being truthful and even though perhaps a selling point, we never witnessed anybody using any of it. In conclusion, Paris as usual was full of horrible, arrogant people, and being the week before Christmas, there was no sign of the festive period at all. It felt more like miserable, gloomy January. We could still have had a decent weekend, but the Lyric hotel experience totally ruined it and I wish we had left there after one night after notifying them we were off, rather than then feeling obliged to stay due to an offer of an upgraded room. There are so many new, modern boutique hotels in Paris, and for sure, there are therefore better examples worthy of forfeiting the very average 'free' breakfast for.

Very happy with all aspects of this hotel, as frequent visitors to Paris it is often difficult to find something suitable in the not ridiculous price range. The Lyric Hotel will remain on the top of our list for future trips.

Nice staffs, beautiful room decoration, outstanding free breakfast! 10 min walking to Opera and sight seeing tour bus stop.
Please do not expect a free shuttle from airport. Taxi will be easier and cheaper to this hotel.

Loved everything about this hotel!
Great rooms, all brand new and clean and perfectly decorated, our room had the same selling as the Opera Garnier.
Staff always ready to help, everybody speaks English and are incredibly polite.
Perfect location, a few minutes of walk to the Opera Garnier, Galerie Lafayette and metro stations.
I loved!

Located in a convenient central location, the hotel is modern with very original decoration and very nice staff. The rooms are spotless and have a very unique decoration. Very quiet for sleeping and excellent pool/sauna/gym downstairs.
