“Wonderful hotel, excellent location and fantastic staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Please be aware the hotel had only been open for 3 weeks when we stayed, so of course there were teething issues. But the location and amazing staff we would definitely stay at this hotel the next time we are in Paris.

Location is excellent, very close walking distance to Lafayette, Opera, Lourve and there are 2 Metro stations 5-10 mins walk away. As it is within the Japanese area, there are many cheap affordable Japanese restaurants to eat as Paris can be a very expensive city to stay in. There is a small supermarket just next door to the hotel, around the corner (5 mins walk max) there is a much bigger supermarket.

Hotel room is on the smaller side however this is the norm in Paris. Was a bit squishy with 2 of our suit cases open. Bed is very comfortable with plush quilts and pillows. Towels are very very fluffy. Bathroom is a bit squishy and our shower flooded quite a bit. We didn't mind but I did feel sorry for house keeping to have to clean up the watery mess daily.

Room was cleaned daily, however sometimes quite late (5pm) when we were already back at the hotel for a quick break. However as we were there during teething period time I am sure that is rectified now. House keeping did a good job of keeping the room clean.

New TV, however as the norm in Europe only english channels are news. Wi-fi was very weak in our room (we were on the top floor in the back corner) they did tell us that they were aware of that issue and were trying to fix it. However they had someone come up and turn on our ethernet port as we have an Apple Airport Express so that was fine. Internet connection is very fast once you connect.

We requested for a quiet room, and was given a room on the top floor in a corner with no rooms next to it. We didn't have any view as we were facing the emergency exit of the building but it was definitely quiet and we were able to sleep very peacefully. So no complaints from us.

Breakfast is the usual continental buffet. Cereals, pastries and cold meats. Nothing to rave about, you could probably give it a miss as there are a few patisseries nearby.

The staff were amazing and their friendliness and willingness to help is refreshing. Any issues that we had were fixed straight away and they were great in answering any questions we had. Reception staff were always happy to have a chat with us and could speak multiple languages.

Excellent hotel, service, and location! The location is within walking distance of some great sites. The street is quiet. The hotel is new and the service is excellent. Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling into Paris who want a central location.

Very nice staff ! the room is small as most hotels in Paris, but the superb design, and all the comfort , around makes so good feeling that really doesn't matter the size. The Room and the hotel in general is very very clean. everywhere just bright ! The location is perfect. only 2 minutes walk to the Metro station and less than 10 minutes to the Opera Garnier.Lots of Main Paris atractions just a walking distance from the hotel.Breakfast is fresh and enough to start the day(I think that adding some vegetables will make it perfect). The woman at the breakfast Room is very very nice person and always doing her best to give a good feeling to the hotel guests (I think her name is Lucy or similar).I hope to find a good deal for this Hotel on my next trip to Paris and have the pleasure to stay at the Lyric Hotel again.

Cannot advise how clean the hotel and our room was - very clean, crisp white bedding and the fluffiest towels! We have been to Paris a few times and this little hotel was a delight with opera inspired rooms. Paris rooms like London can be on the smaller side, however the room was well laid out with two large windows that opened up to the skyline of Paris! We were on the 5th floor and had excellent coffee making facilities in our room! Highly recommend this hotel for a city weekend break. Service was excellent and very friendly and there is also a small swimming pool and sauna.

Room Tip: We enjoyed room 505 - no idea about the others

What can I say? This hotel was exactly what I state at the title: impeccable and magnificent!

There isn't one flaw, one complaint. Everything was perfect and it made our stay in beautiful Paris even more beautiful!

First of all it is new, you can still smell how new it is (in a good way, that is).. The decoration and the aesthetics of the hotel is beautiful, modern and colourful: from the lobby and the breakfast hall to the rooms. And the whole hotel is inspired by music and art, so there are beautiful and breathtaking details, like the vitro glass painting on the ceiling of each room. It is also really quiet.

The rooms are exactly as they are shown on their site (if not better). They are also really clean; the staff even cleaned our room twice a day. The rooms had all the amenities you will need, plus you have a coffee machine with capsules (espresso, decaf, tea, camomile) and they are all complimentary! AND they have the BIGGEST flat screen you will see at a hotel.. I think it is a smart TV, as well...
The staff overall is really polite and so attentive. Upon arrival the nice lady at the reception informed us that we were given better rooms than our original booking (at the same price that is). Generally the people at the reception were so kind, always greeting us with a smile and always having something nice to say to us.
The breakfast is so elegant. There are not too many choices (yet ENOUGH to satisfy even the most demanding customer) but of the utmost quality. There are pastries, fresh fruit, all kinds of yoghurt, nuts, french baguette (which was mouth watering), several french cheeses and cold cuts, and also fresh juice (also, of several kinds). At our table there were several little jars of jam. And all these in a beautifully decorated breakfast hall, which was NEVER crowded (actually there were few people, so it was really quiet).
There is also a chocolaterie at the ground floor with amazing and elegant macarons and chocolates to buy.

What can I say? There really isn't anything bad to say. It was the best surpass and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

They are excellent.
