This was my fourth visit to Tourisme Hotel, I had booked about three weeks before my arrival, so room rates were more expensive, the basic double rooms were no longer available, so I had to pay more to stay in the superior double room, even if it was just me. Initially, I hesitated having to pay that much, but eventually I caved in (comfort zone!) and went with the superior double room- I'm glad I did.
Apart from the excellent, excellent locations that you have probably read about in other reviews, the superior double room was a tad bigger, the toilet was separated from the shower/ rain-shower bathroom, which is a huge plus, since after-showers would usually leave a paddle of water near the toilet bowl. Also, the toilet seat uses an automated warming-up technology, especially thankful for it during winter times like these, just like hot, powerful showers! Other pluses would be free wifi (for one gadget only, ask for password during check-in), a Parisian patisserie just next Starbucks (which is next to the hotel), and two supermarkets conveniently right across the road.
Part of the hotel is still under construction, this has been ongoing ever since my last visit a year ago, but it really isn't much of an issue, since construction works happen during the day. I was a teeny bit peeved though, that my room was only available for check-in nearly half past two, (check-in is at two) even though I had arrived at the hotel half past noon, it would have been great if the hotel was able to make concessions and allow for a slightly earlier check-in.
I discovered Le Suffren (which is probably a three-minute walk from the hotel; turn left upon exiting hotel and walk straight down the block, Le Suffren is around the corner) has rave reviews at tripadvisor's, I was there a couple times previously, but went back after reading the reviews again this time, and I must say, the food is really good. Prices are reasonable, I was pleased with my order of roast chicken, service is usually prompt, but do be there earlier for dinner (six-ish), since it can be really packed.
If I haven't said this before, the hotel is really close to the Eiffel Tower. In the same direction to Le Suffren, turn left after the restaurant and walk straight down another few blocks, you would gradually see the Tower; to get to the Tower takes about ten minutes.
Transfers to the two airports are convenient, change to RER B at Denfert Rochereau, head up north for CDG, south for Orly. One way to CDG takes approximately more than an hour, to Orly much faster at 45 minutes.
