“Very attentive”

Tired after a very long day. Restaurant was empty but the proprietor was very welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious and allowed tasting of wine before choosing.

“Friendly, warm and homely.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

After 8 hours shopping and sightseeing we returned home on the number 2 line we got off at verselle ?station and started to walk to hotel Glasgow, our guardian angels were watching us , we found a fantastic family run pub run by Stephane and his wife.
They speak perfect english and sell Guinness very hard to find in paris.
The food was of a high standard and helped us on our way home.
It is just opened so its fairly new.
It has free wifi and is very clean.
Great pub great people so helpful.

“A real Gastro Pub in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

Having lived in England all my life and London for nearly a decade before moving to Paris, i still miss many things about life on the other side of the channel. Not all of them of course but one of those things is the quality, diversity and character of the fine English public house.

The Publisher has only just opened up around the corner from my apartment in Paris and from the outside it gives off the impression that this is a welcoming place to try a pint of Guinness or a beer from Belgium. However, inside it becomes obvious very quickly that this is not really a pub. Its a restaurant, or to be more exact its a gastro pub. Something i thought only really existed in London. Not any more!

The beers are great, nice choice on tap, a good selection of bottles and some excellent spirits. However, its the food that goes with this choice that sets this place apart. Great cheeseburgers, done better than most bistros in Paris, certainly at this price. I have been in twice so i tried to Fish and chips too. As an Englishman, i can say 'i approve'.

The rest of the menu looks very good too, there was a traditional steak with chips, my partner had the scallops which she assured were perfect. The wine i had with my burger over lunch was a nice selection from off the beaten track of French wine. They served a good classic medoc but i was recommended a glass of red from the Cevennes region which went perfectly with my meal.

The service is excellent too, the hosts speak perfect English if that's important for you and are very friendly and welcoming. A great addition to my neighbourhood!!
