“Basic and good price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2014

For a short stay in Paris you are safe! It's clean, tidy and close to the tube station.
The room is ok, not more than that.

The problem is the elevator that is absolutely tiny and there is no room service at all. So as I said before, for 3 nights you can cope.

We were in Paris for 3 nights as a well known fact, Paris is very expensive, we had booked iBis budget since we were on budget. Its great value for Money.

The rooms were very comfortable with nice lighting and presentable okay size.
The bathroom was also okay, not too small not too big, the kind of a one you would expect in budget hotel, but everything was very nice and smoothly comfortable for us.
The shower has changing LED lights ;)

CON's:
The Location or rather the entrance to the hotel is not at all good. very very upsetting and disappointing. it goes through a rather dodgy staircase which has pee smell and other dirty corners. not at all family friendly.
At nights you can listen to people talking downstairs.
They very desperately need to improve on that.

We stayed 3 nights and appreciated the cleanliness and lay-out of the room, the toilet separate from the shower and the sink, the helpfulness of the front desk. We also liked the nearness to the Metro, a grocery store, bakeries, and restaurants. We didnt like the vicinity of the Porte de La Chapelle exit and the dimly lit street and underpass we had to walk through to reach the hotel. I had read from other reviews that the area wasn't one you'd want to walk alone at night. There were three of us so we decided to stay here. Even so, we didn't want to be out after 11 p.m. This means we couldn't enjoy much of Paris by night.

We also didn't have clear instructions for reaching the hotel from the airport. No one seemed to be familiar with the address, Impasse Marteau. I sent the hotel a message to ask for directions but i did not receive a reply.

I stayed in the Porte de la Chapelle Ibis hotel for 2 days. I had showered in the first day and wished to do the same on the second day, since I was really sweaty from the sunny day. Well, on the 2nd day, I arrived at the room and there were no towels. I thought that this was an honest mistake made by the maid, so I calmly went downstairs to ask for them. The receptionist not only refused to give me towels, but also was very rude and implied that I had stolen them and wanted more. Give me a break, who wants an Ibis towel? Anyway, me and my boyfriend had to dry ourselves with 1 hand towel...

I spend the weekend in this hotel and is good. They did not have rooms in the quite area, but to be honest after 12 it was not very nosy so I did not have any problem sleeping there. The room are ok. They are perfect if you are just visiting the city for 2 or 3 days(that it was my case) since this is the cheap line of Accor do not expect any luxus, the room does not have even a water heater but have the basics, soap, towels a good bed and good temperature in the room. If you are a solo traveller and want the room to stay the night and visit the city this will be your perfect place. The hotel is located in the heart of the city so you can move just by walk to the main spots of the city, called a restaurant or an important atraction, almost everything is 3 or 5 minutes walking.

Ibis is almost not in Paris, it is located on the outskirts but the metro and bus lines are very close by. The rooms were small but clean with TV and free WIFI. It is super cheap considering Paris standards and one can sleep well here. If you want to stay close to the city centre and main attractions then this is not your best pick. The people at the reception are also very matter of fact and straight faced. They have food and coffee vending machines and also breakfast buffet which has to be paid for extra apart from the room cost. They did tell us about baggage drop after check out but that also is charged 2 euros per bag. Considering the room tariff I didn't mind There are also bakeries and supermarkets close by. A good pick for budget travelers who don't mind the distance from city centre
