“a great hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

I really had a great time! took the double room, and as requested got a little balcony and a room with WIFI. visitors should know that the rooms with the balcony face the street which is very noisy. when it's hot you have to leave the windows open to get some air, and this might be a problem for some people with the noise. I however slept like a baby. you should also know there is no air conditioning. If I had gotten there a month later, it would have been an issue I guess.
The hotel is VERY clean (very!!) and the staff is very nive and helpful. they were very welcoming. the hotel has reception 24/7 so it's a safe feeling.
the location is amazing, really, on the Metro station (Clunny-Sorbonne) and very close to Odeon station and Saint Michel - Notre Damme station. you can easily take the RER from the airport and arrive almost straight there.
a great experience, would come back again. gave this 4 stars only because of the Air Conditioning

Room Tip: the rooms facing the street (Bd saint michel) are with a little balcony (not really to drink coffee...

I always stay at hotel de suez. the location is great and the staff very helpful and friendly. the rooms are comfortable and the shower large and easy to use. i like that i can take the RER from CDG and walk downhill from the Luxemburg stop(which features escalators); then downhill again to the Cluny/St. Michel stop to go back. and the price is within my budget.

Not a "luxurious" hotel, but its clean, beds are firm and comfortable, bathroom had a good shower and everything worked. The room was small, but not cramped, quiet, furnished nicely, and well-lit. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Our breakfast was all good, and included fresh OJ and plenty of coffee. We felt like guests. And couple of minutes walk puts you on a train to Orly or CDG - and the Metro.

My wife and I made our annual trip to Paris this May and as usual, stayed in the heart of the Latin Quarter at the Hotel de Suez. It is always a pleasure to be welcomed by the friendly, English speaking staff, Sandrine, Eric, Hassan and the others. They know the city, know what’s going on and how to get there.

A lot of decorating has been done since our visit last September and the always clean hotel was spotless, bright and crisp. The new mattresses made sleep easy and made it hard to get up in the morning.

Fresh squeezed orange juice has been added to the breakfast menu which, with the strong coffee and croissant makes it a great way to start the day in Paris.

The Suez in within walking distance of everything of interest on the Left Bank: Notre Dame, the wonderful olde Cluny, the Luxemburg Gardens, The Shakespeare Book Store, wine bars….the whole pallet that is Paris. Walking to the Pompidou is not out of the question.

This hotel has the best location and the nicest staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast is fairly priced. This is not a luxury hotel but you'll find what you need here and the rates cannot be beat. I've been staying at Hotel de Suez for longer than 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Some of what I appreciate the most: proximity to the RER line B St. Michel stop. There is an elevator at this stop that allows you to exit right at the Seine, around the corner from Blvd St. Michel, a short 2 block walk to the hotel. You can also pick up the RER line C to Versailles at this metro station. proximity to Notre Dame, walking distance to Musee d'Orsay, the Louvre, the Tuilleries, Place Des Vosges, Luxemburg Gardens! And there are plenty of very good restaurants nearby. And there's free wifi that works very well, never had a problem with it. And there's a grocery store right next door. The hotel staff is helpful as can be and I'm always happy to see them again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the front are quieter. There's a bar on the street level at the back of the hotel and...

This hotel is a pretty no-frill standard hotel. Americans that aren't accustomed to European hotels will most likely complain, but those who no what to expect of a two or three star will be just fine. Located in the middle of the Latin quarter, which is a great place to stroll and find some live music in the evenings

This hotel is walking distance to almost everything you would want to see or do in Paris because it's on Saint-Michel blvd and the closest major metro station is less then a 5 minute walk away. If you don't mind walking, the Musee d' Orsay and Louvre is about 25 minutes walk or a 5 minute metro ride. Notre Dame is nearby and Saint Chappell. If you want to go to the Eiffel Tower or Arc du Triumph then take the metro. The hotel itself is nice and clean and the room was spacious for a single bed and being in Paris. The hotel does have a lft if this is something that concerns you. Free wifi. The breakfast is pretty standard simple French breakfast with bread, juice and coffee. If you're looking for something more or have more time on your hands, head to one of the nearby cafes around. The staff is also very helpful. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Watch out for the pick pockets at all times!
