“Great location, small room, questionable services”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

The hotel is in a good location (5 min) near the station. The hotel and the room was not at all large. Our room on the first floor faces the garden which helped with the noise a bit, but there were no elevator access for this floor. The room layout was pretty strange and there were some space loss in the "shoe area" (a 2-3 sq metre space with a small table. To the right it'll be your room, and to the left is the bathroom). The bedroom was "small" and barely holds two people with luggage. The bed was ok - no complaints and there's a fan inside (no air con). The hotel is quite strict and gave us a set of rules during our stay. The staff did their job by the book (rules) - no less and no more. I didn't sense much friendliness from a few staff. During our 3 nights stay, the WiFi in our room did not work almost all the time. In their defense, I only reported this on the 3rd night. Nevertheless, after I reported it, the staff simply replied "it is very unusual and unlikely" and that was it. We sat in the lobby to use internet for an hour and he did not come back to us at all if he was able to investigate the problem. In the morning at check-out, I reported the problem again to another reception. He asked "did you report this to my colleague?" and I explained what I did. There were no apologies or acknowledgement from him. Overall I would have expected a little bit more from the price.

Room Tip: Get rooms facing the garden, and higher rooms so you can use elevator

This hotel is small and, for the budget price, it offered great location and excellent service. I walked and also used the bus on rue Faubourg Montmartre & the metro just 3 minutes away

While the hotel seemed old and the room was small, I mainly used it for the night and for its humble breakfast. There was a shower and wash basin in a small bathroom with the room inside, but one had to use the one common toilet on the floor. However, being a small floor, there was never any queue.

What I'd say is that it was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very nice as well.

Room Tip: I used a very small room that faced the back to minimise road noise disruption.

I booked this hotel last minute as my travel partner couldn't join the trip 2 weeks before departure. In order to save cost I booked here.
For the location - near opera, it's considered as really cheap. Walking distance to at least 4 different metro lines, almost directly to all main attractions like louvre, Montmartre, Eiffel Tower.
I booked a single room with shared bath and toilet. Room is tinny but clean. Superisingly they are still having heating in the night at this season. Not sure how many rooms are sharing one toilet and one bath, but it can not be enough in summer.
Encountered total 3 receptionist, only one who checked me in is totally not friendly, the other two are fine.
Many eatery places, few supermarket nearby. For this price and don't talk about accommodation quality, this hotel is recommended.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2015

It is not easy finding a hotel which is good and cheap and in the middle of Paris. Well this is it.

The service was always excellent - friendly and helpful including tips on where to go for dinner. The rooms (we had two - one for my wife and I and one for my mother) were identical - spotlessly clean, small (as expected in this type of Paris hotel), with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were small but with a decent shower. Free wifi was available too.

The location is great with a mini-supermnarket across the road, various bars and restaurants in a stone's throw and a 15-20 minute walk down to the Seine and the Louvre Museum.

So I find myself giving this hotel 5 stars as whilst it will never compare to a luxury hotel, it is excellent for the low cost.

It really baffles me how this is only a two star hotel, I'm not really sure what it was missing. The rooms are not as small as reviews make it out, they're small but no sardine can! They were spotless everywhere. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly and made the stay wonderful. The location was also perfect, just a few minutes walk from a metro. Convenient store over the road and plenty of cafés and places to pick up something for a snack. The only downside is the walls are a little on the thin side, it didn't bother my partner who could sleep through an earthquake, but I would recommend some earplugs if you are a light sleeper! We will certainly be returning when we're next in the city!!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The Hotel is in a great Location, many Sightseeing places and the metro in Walking distance. Has a really delicious Crêpes Restaurant (Caramel Sarrasin) right across the street, as well as a great Restaurant (le Bouillon chartier) and many Little Cafés.
Like all Hotels in Paris, the rooms are small but they were clean and got the Job done. The employees were are extremely helpful and friendly. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the quieter the rooms, as the Hotel is on a very busy street

We stayed here mid March. The staff was all friendly and helpful, the room (though small) was very clean, tidy and comfortable. We had strong consistent wifi in our room and throughout the hotel. The breakfast was simple (croissants, juice, tea/coffee, bread and spreads). The location was excellent - close to a small market and the metro (which you could easily use to view any attraction by hopping through the lines). The only drawbacks were the lack of ventilation (room got very muggy after a shower) and the thin walls meant you could hear others coming and going from adjacent rooms. However, we would not hesitate to stay here again :)
