“nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2014

Nice rooms, freshly painted. Super comfortable bed. Bath tub was pretty but a little hard to wash in, no shower (nozzel variety) and powerful spray made for interesting times. Great AC. Fairly quiet. Nice people. Small room, but it's Paris so...Got a little tired hoofing it to the subway. It's a good line but wish the walk was a little closer to/from the attractions. Sometimes you need a break in the middle of the day but if your hotel is 25 minutes away, etc. Just further down the street it gets a little sketchy looking but is safe. Lots of neat restaurants on the way up from rue Lafayette. The bar area downstairs looked really hip but I over scheduled the trip so we didn't partake in that unfortunately.

The Hotel du Temps is now in our top 3 hotels in Paris. Renovated, well placed and clean it's a perfect choice for a lovely holiday. We will come back anytime we are in Paris. Metro stations are super close, good neighborhood, good restaurants.

This is a tiny little hotel with quite small rooms, so I would not recommend it for more than a night or two at the most. Having said that, it does have character and a real French feel to it and we thought it was lovely. On the up side, the staff are helpful, Wi-Fi worked well, it has a lift and the rooms are clean and tidy. It is just a 2 minute walk to Poissionniere station and we found on that line you will be able to get to most places. Things not so good, well the bathroom is small and having a shower means soaking the whole room and it really needs something there. And the glass door and window between the bathroom and room could be a little off putting for some.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street front if possible

A tiny little hotel not far from Lafayettes. Super friendly (and we are in Paris!) and facilitating staff, super cosy and small rooms, charming though (even if you have to share a tiny bed with a friend). Super narrow corridors, old stairway - I will be coming back there, one of the best palcec to feel Paris, once you miss Paris.

My husband and I agree that it was a treat to spend a night at Hotel du Temps in Paris! Rooms are small, but cozy. Every space in the hotel is exceptionally well-appointed; I love the creative flourishes!! The prices are fair, especially because the lovely staff are always eager to make sure their guests are comfortable and relaxed. The surrounding neighborhoods are friendly for leisurely exploring, with many local discoveries nearby!

This hotel has a charming atmosphere thanks to its very pleasant staff, nice decorations and the friendly way it is operated. It is located nearby metro station (3 stations from Opera) and not far from Montmartre (which you can reach in 20 minutes on foot). We had no problem with the late arrival (23:30) as the reception works all night. Our double room No 303 was small but very clean, with air condition, little fridge in the wardrobe, safe box and hair dryer. The only inconvenient thing was the fact that our window was looking to Rue la Fayette which is noisy all night (this is the reason for only 4 points) - but thanks to the well working air circulation in the room it was actually possible to sleep with the widows shut (then the room is quiet). Breakfast in the hotel is basic - brad, butter, jam/honey, French pastry (croissant), tea or coffee and fresh juice. However, if you ask for anything else - like herb tea or eggs (which are not offered as a standard) the staff will bring it.
If you wish to have a dinner or just a glass of wine near the hotel in the evening, we recommend the little place next door – a cozy place with very tasty dishes!

Conveniently located within walking distance from Gare du Nord, the rooms are smallish in this hotel, but the air conditioning is a plus. Good location for Metro and the square Montholot is lovely. There is free WIFI.
