“well located and brand new”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

We visit Paris very often and dicovered this small hotel through a promotion. It is well situated, very clean because brand new with a very friendly staff. If you wish to explore the 'rive gauche' it is just perfect with a metro station nearby.

Room Tip: even the rooms at the street side are very silent.

I picked this hotel somewhat randomly (after a last-minute cancellation of another place with bedbugs--thank you tripadvisor reviews!!) and LOVED it. The location was great--far enough from the tourist fray, but very easy to get around Paris with the nearby Metro stop. The room was small, but super clean, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable. Also vital during a Paris heat wave--excellent AC! The reception staff were knowledgeable and helpful too. There are good restaurants, bakeries, and shops nearby, as well as a really pretty neighborhood park.

We had a three person suite and it could not have been swanker. Laid out in a classic building every inch of our suite had been upgraded. The beds were comfortable, the decor chic and the atmosphere quiet. The shower and toilet were in two different rooms separated by a hall which was a bit inconvenient for hand washing but lent to the quirky feel of the place. Our window open over a small shared courtyard area and the blackout curtains certainly made for a dark room allowing you to sleep in if you wanted. to a It was an easy 30 minute stroll to Notre Dame and the neighborhood was filled with eateries and shops. Our favorite was a bakery right next door which made for an easy breakfast on the go. The staff at the hotel could not have been more professional and helpful. There was a small garden and dinning area which were always clean and well organized.

Room Tip: If you stay on the first or second floor, consider taking the stairs. They are lovely (strange but...

The Hotel Eden was a breath of fresh air. I have stayed in Paris before but never in a hotel as clean and cool as this one with such excellent staff. On arrival we found that we had been assigned a room on the top floor which isn't much good for me as I can't use the lift. The receptionist immediately changed our room to one on the ground floor, even though I had forgotten to ask for one on a lower floor when booking the room. The room was very clean and bright and the bathroom was spotless with a huge shower. The air conditioning was great - especially as it was very hot in Paris last week. When I asked how to get to a restaurant we had booked into, again the gentleman on reception was very helpful and gave us very detailed instructions about how to get the bus. The hotel has an honesty bar and a garden which is delightful and a lovely facility when you have aching feet from walking the city. There is a great café on the corner nearby which also had cheerful staff and good food. The hotel is in a great position: the metro is a very short walk away and the Eiffel Tower is walkable if you are feeling energetic. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Paris. Well done, Hotel Eden - you are helping give Paris a good name for service!

Stayed here between 8th-11th July. Booked via Expedia and we had a great price. We had a triple room, 306 which was fantastic. Extremely clean and very modern, serviced every day. Beds very comfortable and aircon worked really well considering it hit 30 degrees while we were there. Two Metro stations close by, Convention and Vaugirard, and we used the Metro to get around - very easy to navigate but extremely hot! Did not have the breakfast, instead as others have mentioned, used the Boulangerie next to the hotel. All in all, cant fault the Hotel Eden in any way - lovely staff, good location, modern, good nights sleep - highly recommended.

I would have written this review while I was still staying there, had the internet connection been slightly better. In short, you have to get a new set of user/password from reception every 3 days, re-enter them every hour or two when the signal is good enough, and suffer from dial-up modem speed internet when it actually got connected, which was rare in our case.

I reluctantly gave it 3/5 for the location, relatively new room and the quietness. The room definitely didn't look as good as the pictures showed, but I do understand I was in Paris and couldn't have it all.

Dear Eyafevol,

Thank you for sharing your comments.

We are sorry if you experienced a bad wifi internet connection as it does not reflect the usual quality of this complimentary service.

For your information, even if we have 6 different decoration themes, our rooms are all different and they layout might be slightly different within the same category.
Would our staff have been informed about your disapointment, we would have been delighted to relocate you in another room if availability allowed.

We are also surprised that you did not give any details about cleanliness and service, which you rated 3 only. These items are very important to us and as we are keen on continually improving, some explanations would have been helpful.

Kind regards,

My trip was part work part relaxation and Hotel Eden proved to be an ideal choice. The area is quiet and largely residential – though the Eiffel Tower is a short walk away – with plenty of places to eat and drink locally and several Metro stops within easy walking distance, making it very easy to get anywhere in Paris.

The hotel is good value, given that Paris is a rather expensive city. Certainly it provided me with the space and quiet I needed to go into the work stuff feeling refreshed and ready, and the location and transport links made it a great choice when I got time to explore the city.

The rooms are reasonably sized (although an easy chair wouldn't go amiss and there's not much space on the shelves by the bed) and quiet. There is efficient air conditioning and the WiFi worked well throughout my stay. The shower room is excellent.

Breakfast is good – the fruit juice in particular is excellent – and served with good humour in a very pleasant room. There is also a small garden (though the weather dictated my choice to stay inside).

All in all, a very nice hotel and one I would happily go back to.
