“Very comfy room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

I had to stay two extra nights here and the room was really great. Comfortable and luxurious. The bathroom was amazing with a huge bath and a great (separated) shower.
I tried the restaurant once and the food was delicious.
Service is perfect everywhere.
In short, a great stay.

Great location, great staff. Had no problem with early check in very thankful for that.
The only complain i have is the room service. I order a cheeseburger and an hour later called room service to check on my burger and they didn't even had it made.
Other than that hotel experience was good.

My partner and I stayed at the Buddha-Bar hotel on 23 December. We arrived from South Africa at 06h00. We informed the hotel that we'd need an early check-in but never dreamed they'd have our room ready for us so early in the morning. To our utter delight, our room was ready. We were checked in and delivered hot cappuccino's to our room. Sam was our concierge, and excellent at his job!

Beautiful and spacious is an understatement when describing the Buddha-Bar Hotel rooms. There is a lovely entrance with spacious cupboards, robes and slippers. There is a separate toilet with a whole bunch of accessories, including a seat warmer. The bedroom itself is artfully decorated. The bathroom is MASSIVE with a tub, separate shower and basin. Each room has a nespresso machine and a flat screen tv that neatly folds away.

What we really appreciated it, is that when we ordered a taxi cab, the cab started at zero and not at €9,20 like other establishments. The concierge also booked our dinner for us and gave us a complimentary cocktail in their beautiful bar.

How this hotel is not in the top 10, I have no idea. The light switch situation is a little tricky and the only thing we found frustrating was the heat of the room - we found it really hot and unable to adjust. If those 2 things could be rectified, it would be even more magical.

We will MOST DEFINITELY be returning! Thank you Buddha-Bar for making our stay in Paris so memorable.

Dear sir,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris.

Unfortunately we are aware about the issue with our speaker system but I am happy to inform you a technical solution will be in place shortly allowing our guest to plug their own music and have access to the full Buddha-Bar music collection.
I am sorry about your poor experience at the bar with was indeed understaffed that day.

I do hope you will give us another chance in the future and I am at you disposal to personally take care of your reservation.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and overall experience was great. I'd recommend this hotel and will return here myself. Bar, breakfast and dinner were all superb (choices of dishes, quality of service, decor). Hotel's location is just AMAZING! Everything is at the walking distance (aside from Tour Eiffel; although we did walk there, because a) Paris is the city to be discovered by foot, b) the weather was perfect, c) I know the city very well, so there were no problems of missing the right turn and so on). Stuff at the reception super polite and helping, concierge gives great recommendations regarding restaurants. There is also a small gym, very clean, great air conditioning system. The hotel itself has interesting decor and atmosphere, it's stylish, it has its own "face", so to speak. Rooms' sound proof system is really good and I consider this fact to be of highest importance.
Now, there are some points which could be improved and they all concern room keeping. Twice our room wasn't clean until we asked for it: we left room right after the breakfast and always came back around 3pm; twice our room wasn't cleaned. As we wanted to rest before going out again, it wasn't very pleasant to be disturbed by late cleaning service. Twice we ordered room service and every time we have to ask for table to be removed several times.

PS: I want to personally thank hotel's manager for his professionalism and responsiveness. Customer care at its highest level.

The hotel is stylish, of that there is no doubt. Its location is second to none. Staff at the front office, especially concierge, and in the bar are friendly and helpful.
But there are annoyances that outweigh the positives.
Despite leaving a sign on the door for our room to be made up at 11am, when we returned at 5, nothing had been done. This is unacceptable. When paying premium prices for a weekend away, you expect the room to be serviced during a six hour period so you can enjoy it when you return.
An offer to send housekeeping immediately was of no use given that we wanted to have a snooze before going out for the evening.
When we left for the evening with a request for the room to be properly serviced, the coffee supplies were not replenished, somewhat undermining the point of having - and boasting about - a Nespresso machine in the room. So no coffee for us when we woke the next morning.
The room layout was rather unusual, with the toilet right by the entrance, but washbasin in the bathroom area on the other side of the bedroom -not ideal if you want to wash your hands after visiting the loo.
The bathroom area itself was open plan to the bedroom, which is awkward if one of you wants to be up and shower before the other, as it causes an obvious disturbance. The shower itself was a good one, with rain effect. Toiletries were good quality and plentiful.
The lighting system was confusing and frustrating. There were more than twenty switches around the room, and not at all of them did what they were supposed to - resulting in a lot of stretching from one side of the bed to another or getting out of bed to find a switch.
For a hotel just a few months old, you would expect everything to be in perfect working order.
The room itself also looked a little scruffy and battered given its newness. It was, however, a good size. A handle came off the wardrobe in the hand!
To end, though, a special word of praise for the bar man who invented special cocktails for us, including a show-stopping hot chocolate confection that involved a lot of flames and performance and ended with a superb taste and powerful kick.
Sadly he wasn't on duty the following day when we ordered a very hot (nonalcoholic) hot chocolate, which arrived barely warm, and a chicken club sandwich, which arrived as the smoked salmon version.

Dear Sir,

First of all I would like to wish a happy new year 2014.

Thank you very much for having taken the time to share your experience following your recent stay.I am glad to read that the receptionists, concierges and bar provided a service that satisfied your expectations.
Your comments are very important to us in order to learn from our mistakes and get better every day. No use to say, that our goal is to deliver exceptional service to all of our guests.

I personally apologize for the inconvenience you have experiences and inform you that I have met with all the head of departments detailing the issues you have encountered and solutions are already in place and we have also added to your cardex the fact that you do prefer closed bathrooms.

I hope you will give us a second chance to show you that your last stay was not representative of what the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris guest experience should be.
Please contact me directly for a future stay as I would be happy to take care of the reservation myself.

Great chick and cosy Boutique Hotel were service and personel is top for Paris-Rooms are even in the "normal" category big and spacious (defenitely compared to other high end Hotels in Paris)
Bathroom including cosy Shower and bathtube are as well great and the use of the high technical toilet is an adventure :-) The ambiance of the full package is Romantic Oriental Cozy. I really could relax and feel like having made an exotic trip to Asia.
