“Great but No Iron!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

This Hotel was fantastic. The room was small but the hotel was clean and well kept. The washroom was actually very large as well. The two things we found bothersome was the lack of AC, and there was no iron. The lack of AC is typical in Paris but rough none the less. I would definitely stay here again in the fall or spring but maybe not in Mid July like we did a couple of weeks ago. We really could've used an iron, a lot of our clothes were wrinkled from our suitcase. The location was great too! Close to metro, train station, Monoprix etc.

This hotel is everything that is typical to Paris. If you're looking for a quaint, service oriented boutique hotel experience, this IS the place. The rooms are decorated beautifully, breakfast is typical European style and the staff go above and beyond to help. If you are looking to be immersed in the french culture, this place is for you. This hotel will be on my 'recommend' list for a very long time.

5 adults stayed in the family room on the top floor for my Sister's hen party. Excellent spacious room (by Paris standards), clean and well equipped. Great location for getting around the city, close to train station and local links.

Friendly helpful staff. EAsy to drop our bags off in the secure hold in reception at 9am (check in at 2pm) whilst we got our day started in the city.

Boulangerie/coffee shops near by for quick breakfast in your room or the hotel do a basic continental for 8 Euro.

We all agreed we would stay here again. Ideal for groups or family travel. Two bathrooms, one with big bath. Shower door bit wonky in one bathroom so you wouldnt fit in it if a larger size person.

Only criticism of the room was no hospitality tray.

Great value.

We stayed in a family room (Room 502) for 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) in early July.

What we don't like:

1) No air conditioning. The temperature was about 84F (and humid). We had to open the windows and found out that there was no window screen. So flies and mosquitoes all came in. We got numerous mosquitoes (or other bugs?) bites throughout our stay.

2) No elevator after 4th floor. The family room is on the 5th floor so we had to carry our luggage upstairs.

3) Noise. On Friday and Saturday nights, there were lots of noises throughout the night. People were screaming and partying in the club nearby. There were even fireworks (for no reason) and police sirens. We could even hear them on the 5th floor (actually 6th). On Sunday night it had quiet down a bit, probably because people had to go to work the next day. But my sister that stayed on the 1st floor (actually 2nd) heard people doing dishes the whole night until 5am in the Indian restaurant next door. So if you are a light sleeper, you won't be able to sleep at this place.

4) Rooms. Yes the room is big in terms of floor space. But Room 502 is actually an attic and the ceiling is slanted (My parents and my sister stayed in rooms 104 and 105 and the ceilings are normal but rooms are smaller). If you are not short, you can't go to half of the areas in the room and the bigger bathroom. Even the shower in the bigger bath room has slanted ceiling so taking a shower wasn't easy, especially if you were trying to avoid splashing the water all over the floor because there was no curtain around the tub (I think you were supposed to take the showing in a sitting position?). Also the toilet makes a huge weird noise while refiling the water tank after each flush.

What we like:

1) Location. Short walk (< 5 min) to metro stations. 30 min walk (at ~3mph) to Eiffel Tower (15-20 min if you just want to see the whole tower from a distance). Lots of shops and cafes in the area. There were also 2 supermarkets (Monopix and Dia) within 5 min walk.

2) Plenty of bathroom amenities. Every day there were several sample sized bottles of gels, boxes of soaps. They even provided tooth brushes and disposable shavers.

3) Price.

4) Easy check-in & check out. We prepaid thru a 3rd party web site. So check-in and check out for us was just a matter of getting and returning the room keys. There was no paperwork to fill out and no credit card info needed. Super easy.

I think in spring and fall, this will be a good hotel to stay at. But I would definitely avoid it in summer (probably winter too).

Nice and clean hotel, friendly and helpfull staff and 10-15 min walk to the eiffel tower! Metro stations, lafayette galleries (shopping), train station, cafees, restaurants, bars and everything you might need within 500 meters from the hotel!

The hotel entrance was small but looks really modern and expensive and clean:) The main entrance is kept locked because it is facing a busy road, and you get a code with which you can enter. Although there is also a receptionist 24/7 so you can also press the button and they let you in. The elevator is small and so are the hallways. We stayed from thursday-sunday in the family room, me and 4 of my girlfriends. The room was hard to get to, because the elevator only went to the floor under, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs (really narrow staircase). But the room itself was really nice! Large and cosy and looked just like a French hotel room should look. There were 2 bathrooms, one tiny with a shower and one large with a bathtub. Felt like a suite. And we could see the top of the Eiffel tower from the window!! The room was cleaned every day and we were not disturbed by any other guests.

The hotel was in a good location also because of the large tower right next to it, because we could always find back easily because it functioned as a landmark. There was free coffee from a small machine in the reception area but you had to wait quite long for the coffee and especially if there was que. But we often bought it to go from one of the cafees nearby so we didnt mind. They had a room where you could keep your luggage if you had to check out before you are to leave to the airport but when we got there it was full so we had to keep our luggage in the hallway behind a curtain(!).. But nothing was stolen so it was not a big deal:)

I was very pleased with this hotel because of the staff, location, clean and modern look and french charm that it had! I recommend!!

My family and I stayed in this lovely little hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is close to the tube so gives easy access to all of Paris. Enjoyable stay would recommend. The rooms are small which you expect in Paris but clean and adequate.

Nice and cosy hotel, near to metro, near to mini market at Rue d’Odessa. The lift can only fit 4 pax. Check in and check out with no fuss. And yes no AC.. anyway we didn’t need it cos it was still cold..
For me no complains..

Room Tip: Choose the highest floor..
