The location was easy to find as it was near Gare Montparnasse and the metro station. We were a little bit concerned at first since the sliding glass door had a huge cracked pattern on it, but upon entry the interior was quite nice and the reception greeted us courteously.
For a family of four, the room we were given was very spacious and clean compared to what we expected. The restroom was quite elegant and there was also a clothes rack provided that we found useful for drying. Wi-fi worked decently in the room.
The main drawback was that we had arrived in Paris in the middle of a heat wave and there was no air conditioning in the room. We opened the windows, but there was another group of people upstairs (not necessarily in the hotel, possibly from an adjoining building) who were making a fair bit of noise and kept dumping drinks onto a low roof just outside our window which got to be a serious nuisance.
Finally, on our departure day we wanted to leave early in the morning (around 07.00) but found nobody at reception to whom we could return our key. There was no bell on the counter, and dialing for reception from our room phone simply rang the unattended front desk. We stood there confused for a few moments, worried that the delay might affect our flight schedule, until one of us went outside to ring the buzzer, which finally alerted someone that we needed help.
