“I will return to this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

What a gem of a hotel. Fair rates and very modern and clean facilities. Perfectly located to Notre Dame and a short walk to St Germain. It does not get better than this hotel. There is a laundry down the road which came in handy. Plus a police station too ;)

My only qualm is the whole custom of leaving your room key with the reception. One room key between two adults is not enough. If one person leaves the room and must hand in their room key then how is the other person supposed to use the electricity in the room if they don't have a room key? I find this custom highly bizarre.

my husband and i booked this hotel for our trip to paris to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. hotel atmospheres exceeded all of our expectations.

we booked a "deluxe double," which i believe is one step larger than a regular room, and i would recommend the extra cost for the space (though i have not seen the regular room, so i could not compare). the room decor was called "sorbonne" and was beautifully decorated. the shower was a double shower with two rain showerheads... one of my favorite showers ever! the bed was king sized, even though on the website lists it as a "double bed."

we also love the area. accessible to many places while being away from the tourist crush.

there are so many hotel options in paris, and we felt like we did not go wrong with hotel atmoshperes!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at Hotel Atmospheres. After an overnight flight and then a train ride from Brussels, we arrived at the hotel around noon and were allowed to check-in early.

By email, we had requested a Monuments themed room, and that’s what we got.
Even though it was small by American standards, our club room was laid out well and
did not feel cramped, and was stylishly decorated. Our view was of the courtyard with the dome of the Pantheon visible in the background.

The bathroom was roomy with a fabulous, large glass enclosure shower with two rain showerheads, plus two handheld showerheads. The glass doors were spotless and clean everyday. (I would like to know what the maids use.) The shower was definitely the best of all the five hotels we stayed at during our trip.

As for the other amenities, we didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel or use the exercise room, but my daughter did use the massage bed and found it very relaxing. The Wi-Fi was also the best of all the hotels we stayed at. At check-in, we were given a code to use for each device, good for the entire stay. There was no need to keep rejoining the network daily as there was in other hotels

For us, the location was excellent. The hotel is essentially on the Sorbonne “campus” in the Latin Quarter, a short walk from Notre Dame, Place St. Michel, the Metro and RER B and C train station which made travelling to Versailles and sights around Paris very convenient. We always felt safe walking in the neighborhood even returning to the hotel after 11:00 pm.

The front desk staff was very nice and spoke excellent English. Fouzia was especially helpful arranging a shuttle to Orly Airport.

If I had a chance to go to back to Paris, I’d love to stay at Hotel Atmospheres again, and have already recommended it to friends.

Room Tip: Note that the Club rooms have 2 double beds.

Hotel Atmospheres is a really nice, modern hotel and our room was absolutely spotless. We also had a chair and desk in the room plus tea and coffee making facilities which we didn’t expect. You could actually open a window for some air (although there was an easy to work thermostat on the wall for instant heat) and the bed was very big and comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size and we had a lovely shower (no bath though) with complimentary toiletries. We didn’t have breakfast included in our room rate although there was a breakfast buffet available downstairs for 16 Euros.

The staff we spoke to were very helpful and friendly and when we checked in we were told we had been upgraded. No complaints there at all. The hotel is in a really great location if you are in Paris for some sightseeing. It’s only a short walk to Notre Dame and the metro station. We got the RER ‘B’ train directly from Charles de Gaulle airport to a stop only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It only took around 40 minutes and no changes were required. Very easy and cheap at 9.75 euros each.

A few nice restaurants and Bistros are situated right on the doorstep – we ate at Il Pescatore on the corner and the very ‘un-french’ Breakfast in America Diner just along the road. I would definitely go back to Hotel Atmospheres again.

I have booked this hotel two years running now for our 25 and 26 years anniversary. We had a great time as there is no agenda to stick to so we could please ourselves. It is very clean, nice staff, free Wi-Fi lovely location. Well recommended. Tell you something else if you are an adrenaline junkie and want a scary ride to the airport book Paris shuttle

Clean on the outside, beautifully modern reception area. The location is fantastic too. Short walk to Maubert-Mutualite metro station. I went with my partner and we often chose to walk down into the centre of Paris, not too far to walk, and great views and attractions on the way, like Notre Dame. The multi-lingual staff we're amazingly polite and helpful. On arrival we were upgraded to a Luxury Suite at no extra cost. And my word was it amazing! Definitely worth choosing the larger rooms as we peeked into other rooms (cleaners had the door open) and they seemed a lot smaller, though still gorgeous and well laid out. It was like having our own luxury apartment. Just small touches like the little coffee machine and the large variety of lighting. The bathroom was large and the shower and bath were something you'd see in a show home, stunning.
Price wise, aware of the fact we were upgraded, I would still definitely pay the price, for even the standard rooms.
The only thing I found a let down, was the breakfast buffet options downstairs. Was a little confusing understanding what were were allowed at what price. I understand it's a small hotel, but there wasn't a great amount of variety. Better off going to a cafe for brekkie.

Our first trip to the beautiful city of Paris and We stayed for 3 nights at the lovely hotel Atmospheres in February. Hotel was immaculate, and the staff (Fouzia was fantastic) couldn't have been more helpful. We were lucky to have room 331 which faced the inner courtyard and as the only people on that floor using the lift it was beautifully quiet and the room was gorgeous. It was a deluxe room and was plenty big enough with lovely decor and a wonderful rain shower! The hotel was spotless, possibly the cleanest we have ever stayed in, it had a lovely intimate feel. The hotel was only a few minute walk from Notre dame. We walked everywhere, would recommend the batobus ( if you buy the ticket once here a 5 day ticket hop on and off is about 30 euros and well worth it!) we did the last bus of the night from Notre dame (6pm in feb) which took in the night illuminations and the Eiffel tower diplay at 7pm, great value for money as included in the pass! February is really a lovely time to visit, very quiet and few queues , I stood in font of the Milo de Venus in the Louvre with only myself and my husband in the room!!! We were lucky with the weather. Absolutely loved our time n Paris and would recommend Atmospheres to everyone, we would certainly stay here again in the future! Thank you for a lovely welcoming stay

Room Tip: Upgrade to a deluxe for extra space, email the reception and request the theme of the room you would...
