Just returned from Paris after a 2 night stay at this nice little hotel. Found it on the internet and booked via the hotel's website directly as they offer more deals and cheaper prices then on other websites.
First of all, the hotel is in an excellent location, close to everything. Just couple of minutes walk to the metro stations, which is mandatory as you really need to feel the you are in Paris :)
The hotel itself is small one, you really have to look for the number, as we passed by the entrance thinking it was just a window. Stepping in was not a surprise, as I have seen already the pictures on the internet. But that isn't a bad thing. Indeed, it has been recently renovated and has a new, modern and welcoming "Atmospheres" :)
We booked a standard room with the theme "By Night" having the bathroom completely tiled in red! Wow! It looked really nice. Also had some lights on the ceiling like it was nigth and the stars were shining. I also had a great big shower and yes, with that big shower head. The bed was also a huge one and very very comfortable. I would loved to take it home with me. I need to mention, that the room itself was on the small side, but not extremly small, we had space for the 2 cabin size luggage, and also to walk around the bed. Sure, you cannot dance inside, but hey, this is Paris.
We also had breakfast in the price, which separately would cost 16 Euros (a little bit expensive) but was really great and plentyful. They also had scrumled eggs, which is not usual in Paris. I also liked the perfect croissants with those superb jams in those nice little bottles, 2-3 choices of ham, 4-5 cheese types, yoghurts and all the usual other things :) Very tasteful.
When booked, I was really happy that there is a brand new sauna, I prepared myself that after a long and freezing day out in the city could use it, but they close it at 9:00pm. So no chance to try this out. This would be an improvement opportunity for management. Usually people stay out late in the city, so a closetime at around 11pm would be a better one.
Our flight back was really early in the morning, so could not have breakfast again. We asked for a little basket to take it to the airport, but it was not possible. However, the receptionist offered us to prepare quickly some croissaints (had no time to wait for it) and prepared us a coffee. A Nespresso! :) Wow, that saved the morning. This was my first good coffee in Paris. Maybe a Nespresso machine even in the standard rooms would be nice ;)
In general, I would highly reccomed this hotel. We are sorry that we stayed only 2 nights, and next time we definitely will be back.
Room 222 has theme "By Night". It also has a balcony facing the street. Street noise is no...
