“Comfortable, clean hotel with friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

This hotel is in a good location when travleing by train (Gard du Nord). Very easy to find your way to the rest of Paris from this hotel.

The rooms are very comfortable with airconditioning that you can control yourselves. The beds are fine and the bathroom is complete. The hotel is still very new and is of a high standard.
The staff is really helpfull and friendly. When there was a problem with the shower, it was no problem for them to solve it within minutes.

The breakfast bar was very good for France. A lot of choice for a good start of the day
We would definitely return and recommend this hotel to our friends!

Room Tip: All the rooms are soundproof, even the rooms on the streetside (which are the cheapest) are still qu...

we had a wunderfull stay. all staf where very friendly and helpfull. hotel and room where really clean and had a nice rainshower in the bathroom. we booked a room with terras/balkony, which was nice to sit outside.there was even a small fridge in the room. and it was sound proof. no noise at night for a nice good sleep.
it is located directly next to the Gare Du Nord trainstation where the Thalys is arriving.(aproxx 150mtr walking distance,)
across the street of the hotel there is a metrostation with line 4 and 5 which will bring you quickly anywhere in paris. breadfast was really nice, but there are opportunities to eat outside. almost next door there is a supermarket and some other foodrestaurants.(check streetview googlemaps) across the street there is a nice boulangerie.
I would definitly book this hotel again for a next visit to paris. and recommend it strongly.

Very convenient for Eurostar Nord and Metro line 4 to city centre (both just a couple of minutes walk away).
This is a new hotel with excellent soundproofing (both inside and out) and efficient quiet air conditioning.
Our classic room was clean and comfortable with a good sized ensuite shower room.
We booked the hotel as part of a Eurostar package so breakfast was not included. The hotel staff said breakfast is included if booking direct with hotel. We don't usually eat breakfast so not a problem for us and there is a small supermarket next door and a nearby bakery.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and let us store luggage on our departure day as there was a 5 hour gap between checkout and the return Eurostar and we wanted to spend the day in Paris.
The hotel's Wi-Fi signal in our 4th floor room was weak but we have our own Mi-Fi which worked well. The lobby and garden room looked nice places to sit if you wanted to use the hotel's free Wi-Fi.
Other reviews say the local area is sleazy. There were a couple of sex shops nearby but they didn't cause any problems. It was just typical of areas that most cities seem to have near large stations.

Room Tip: We had room 408. Overlooked the street but soundproofing was very effective. Air conditioning quiet...

This is quite an amazing place, very comfortable, plentiful amenities, friendly and helpful staff, and very well located. It is within easy walking distance from Gare du Nord and from the taxi ranks that will carry one anywhere. Nice lobby, pleasant indoor-outdoor site, quick and easy food service in dining area. Room was very nice, well appointed. In sum, a perfectly situated, nicely modern and more than adequate place to stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful. I was there for 3 nights and was very pleased. Of the various places I've stayed in Paris, this is the tops and I would certainly go there again. It is reasonably priced, given its qualities.

Room Tip: We had twin beds, very comfortable; room is quiet, well appointed.

I stayed at the Hotel Hor on a short business trip. It is within easy walking distance of the Gare du Nord and is a modern haven in a busy city. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. the room, though small, was well presented and clean.

Room Tip: Pick a courtyard room, the noise is almost eliminated.

We travelled with another couple on 4th July for 2 nights. We were lucky with the weather, where it rained very sparsely with warm weather for 2 days and it poured on the last day.

Location
The hotel is literally a 5 minute walk from the Garden du Norde Eurostar. Other reviewers are correct in that it is located literally opposite a couple of sex shops, but this really didn’t put us off and we had no issues. One of the streets in the surrounding location did appear to be a little run down and I would not like to have walked down it at night. We didn’t so all was fine.

Reception
The service was fine. We had to wait until 2pm for our room to be ready. Comfy enough sofas in the lobby with free wifi. Hotel appeared to have been updated recently, neutral colours and modern throughout.

Rooms
The rooms are small and sounds like this is the case all over Paris. If you are staying for long time say a week plus, then the size of the room would have been an issue. We were only there 2 nights and spent very little time in the room. It was tastefully decorated, modern – good lighting – flat screen TV. nice wooden floors, bathroom was nice. No bath, very large walk in shower with drench head, and mirror with lights so that you can do your make up. Lots of power points.

The very unusual thing here is that there was a port hole window from the shower looking out into the main room. I suppose it is to let natural light into the bathroom which does make sense. However if you are sharing the room with someone you are not close with e.g. a friend, this is not ideal as they could look through the port hole window and see everything in the bathroom even the loo which is not ideal. We were a long standing couple and this wasn’t an issue.

Restaurant
We didn’t do breakfast here. Coffee however was included in our stay. Not sure if they served food as we ate out all the time.

On the whole I would say that this was a nice modern hotel for a short stay but would not recommend if you are staying for 4 days plus.
