“Lovely Hotel, Great Location, Small Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2012 via mobile

The Hotel Repaid Saint-Jacques has so many things going for it:

-Lovely property
-Excellent service
-Quiet location on a tree-lined street, just a few minutes walk from the RER at Luxumbourg, and five minutes walk from the bars, restaurants, outdoor markets, and wine shops of the Latin Quarter.
-Well appointed rooms

What the Hotel does not have is an excess of space in its rooms. They're small. I have to admit to being disappointed when we entered. Maybe because everything else is so perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay because it's got so much going for it. However, it's not cheap and I generally like a larger room.

This hotel is just fantastic, from the staff, to the location, to the rooms. Located approx. 150m from Luxemborg Metro getting to the centre of Paris is easy. Good restaurants, bars, cafes surround the hotel and with no traffic noise getting a great night sleep is easy. Rooms easily fitted two adults with two good size suitcases with space to spare. I booked via the hotel website which was they best rate. Would definitely stay there again.

My fiancee and I stayed two nights on the first floor. The room was warm, a decent size, comfortable bed, clean and tidy. The staff were friendly, and spoke English. Location wise the hotel is superb. We didn't try the breakfast or the tiny bar area, but would certainly use this hotel again. Basic, but ticked all the boxes we needed!

You know the saying: ‘There are three things that matter in property: location, location, location". Well, this hotel is located in a great spot, close enough to every major Paris attraction, yet conveniently away from them in a nice and quiet neighborhood.
For Paris first timers, it is ideal since it is located just a couple of blocks away from the Gare du Luxembourg (Paris RER) station, so you can get virtually anywhere in less than 30 minutes.
The rooms are nice. Clean. Cozy and very well equipped. Unless you want to pay 800 Euros for a suite in a 5 stars hotel, this is a great option.
The staff is very good, attentive and ready to help in anything you may need. Just need to ask. They all speak English. Some of them, even Spanish.
We never tried their breakfast. But it looked very good ;)
No fitness center. Not restaurant. Which anyway are not deal breakers since walking Paris is already a great workout and eating out is a must if you really want to enjoy the city.

Room Tip: Get street view.

Perfect location with Luxembourg RER right on the doorstep making it very easy to get around the city plus just 40 minute direct train ride from CDG airport. Lovely neighbourhood, much nicer than other parts of Paris, it felt clean and safe with plenty of cafes, great restaurants (recommend les papilles and la vin qui dance), patisseries etc but not too touristy.

Hotel was very comfortable, excellent room sizes, nice bed, all very clean. Only bug bear was the shower didn't stay a constant temperature and wasn't very powerful. Not very appealing when you've had a long day walking round Paris! Also wifi would have been great along with more international tv channels but then I guess it is only a small hotel (22 rooms).

Excellent reception staff and nice decor downstairs. Very good value for Paris.

Room Tip: Had room on 6th floor which had great view of the pantheon and was nice and quiet.

We went for New Years and found the staff extremely friendly and accommodating and the room very comfortable (though, typical of Parisian hotels, small). Mr. Fabio and the rest of the staff consistently went out of their way to set us in the right direction and ensure that our trip was special, even sharing some terrific insider tips on beating lines at various popular tourist attractions. Breakfast was excellent. The location was nice, though it seemed a bit further from the Seine than I had anticipated. It may have only seemed that way given bad weather during our stay. That said, the city is very accessible from this hotel. We would likely stay here again.

Room Tip: We upgraded and the room was very nice. Not sure what the other rooms were like.
