“Quirky chic Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

I arrived home last night to Ireland after a wonderful four night stay at the quirky townhouse hotel, hotel du continent.

Hotel du continent is in a wonderful location. A leisurely walk up to place de concorde for stunning views of the Eiffel tower and through the beautiful jardin tuilleries (around the corner) brings you to the lourve pyramid! It is well served by public transport links and is close to the metro stop at jardin tuilleries and concorde. The hotel is in close proximity to some lovely resteraunts and cafes(I recommend Ferdi on the same street!) and in a wonderful shopping district!(oops!) we took the metro from Charles de Gaulle for €10 ( a private taxi will cost €75 the hotel can arrange this)

The hotel is decorated in quirky colorful but tasteful decor and each floor represents a different continent. We stayed on the forth floor which had an Asian feel. The room was not large but very comfortable as is typical of French hotels. The room was generously topped up daily with fluffy white towels and toiletries. slippers and dressing gowns were supplied and a hair dryer. The bathroom was fantastic and the shower was wonderful.

The bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows were supplied. There was a double wardrobe with hangers, a safe and mini bar. The tv had an abundance of channels and after one very hectic day of sight seeing we put up our feet and there were many English shows on!

The hotel has a very fun concept that would go well with lazy nights like this- the honesty bar- where you can self serve yourself an alcoholic beverage or maybe a nespresso coffee and you can let reception staff know what you had at checkout! The breakfast bar is lovely, breakfast costs €12 per person but whilst tasty is not that extensive. Breakfast runs from 7-11 and includes croissants, bread and jams, yoghurts, hot chocolates and coffee and juice.

The reception staff are really helpful. Reception operates 24/7. You leave your card with them whilst you go out. Reception staff speak multiple languages. Luggage can be left at reception when you check out and picked up later in the day (:

Lovely hotel I couldn't recommend it more highly! Xox

This modern boutique hotel was a great pick for a few days in Paris! The hotel is beautifully designed, clean and inviting. We stayed in an XL room on the top floor, it was spacious for a room in Paris. As three adults we were very comfortable. The hotel staff were quite helpful, giving recommendations for restaurants, making reservations, directions to attractions and the metro. They even let us look at the two XL room options on the top floor when we arrived to choose which one we preferred. Perfect location on the right bank in the heart of Paris. Short walking distance to many restaurants. Only 2 minutes to the metro, Tuileries gardens and 5 to the Louvre! My only complaint was the breakfast. I didn't think the price was worth coffee and a croissant. So stay here but get breakfast somewhere else. Over all a great experience and would definitely recommend!

Room Tip: For three adults definitely go for the XL room. It's cheaper than getting two single rooms.

This hotel is perfectly located, between Concorde and Louvre, in a very quiet street. The deco is stylish, the room was very comfortable and the staff has always been there to help and advise. A real gem in an historical area of Paris.

Hotel came highly recommended by a friend, and we saw why: perfect location in the centre of Paris, spotlessly clean, quiet, well-equipped, free wifi, friendly staff. The rooms are indeed quite small, but we were expecting that, and didn't plan on staying in the room during the day anyway. This was part holiday / part business trip, and I was glad we opted to stay in central Paris. So near to all the museums, shops etc. but also easy access to the metro if you need it (having bought a week's ticket, I found I only used it to get to my conference and back). We ran out of time (of course) to do everything we'd planned, so we'll just have to come back and stay here again!

This is the kind of hotel which offers more than a comfortable room, quiet nights, lovely deco and watchful staff, all this in an historical area of Paris, between the Louvre and la Concorde. This hotel has a soul.

My wife and I just returned from spending a week in Paris and London. The first part of the trip was Paris and we could not have been happier with this hotel. To start, the location. It's perfect. Being within walking distance of the Louve, Notre Dame, the Arc, Musee de Orsy, and multiple metro stops couldn't have been any better. Second, the restaurant options near the hotel are all excellent! You have great choices for breakfast and dinner (never there around lunch). Lastly, the quality of the staff...super nice and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
