“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

I visited Paris for the first time and stayed at this lovely hotel in the 1st arrondisement. It was perfectly situated - central/close to everything. The hotel is adorable with very interesting decor and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the room, though small, had everything you need and was outfitted with some wonderful extras like bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom was great - it had a wonderful, modern glass shower with a rain shower head and they stocked it with Missoni products. My room was two stories - the bathroom was down a little flight of stairs one side of the room. It made the whole experience feel unique to be in such a cool hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed here with friends and family. We had booked 3 separate rooms. Our stay was wonderful. Conveniently located. Can't say enough about the front desk staff. They were so helpful and kind. They told us about discounts on cruises. Helped us find the nearest post office. They were genuinely interested in our stay in Paris and how they could accommodate us. Thank you Hotel du Continent.

Just back from my 2nd stay at the Continent in 4 months. Was great again and even got my same single room, 28...perfect! Small and compact with the big bathroom downstairs.

This is a small hotel. Limited services. They do a continental breakfast of coffee, juice bread and yogurt. And a small guest area for a cocktail or coffee if you wish. Other than that, its your room...no restaurants or big areas, so if you are looking for a giant hotel, this is not your place.

It's great because it's new and redone, all the employees are very very nice. Always very clean and fresh rooms. And the location cannot be beat!!!! Center of the city in the super posh 1st Arr, yet you arent paying 1,000 euros a night like the Meurice or Mandarin. 2 super popular little restaurants on either side, Ferdi and L'Amboise. Always a wait at both..Celebs come to Ferdi so be on the lookout for them!

If I come with a guest in the future I will stay here again, but in a big room. Concorde Metro is less than 3 min walk away. And to have the park and Louvre right across the street, and Place Vendome and Opera within a 10 min walk is perfect!!!
J'adore the Continent!!

Room Tip: I think any room on the back side, no matter which hotel in the city is best, quiet.

I stayed here with my 13 year old daughter 29 years ago while we were travelling by train through France, Italy and Switzerland. We were on a strict budget and tried to stay in 2 star hotels to economize. We found this wonderful little gem by accident walking by from our other hotel. The hotel had just been refurbished at the time and our room, though very small was lovely, all blue and white tiny flowers very much like Laura Ashley. The service was friendly and breakfast was very good. Fabulous location, probably one of the best areas to stay in Paris. I'm very happy to see the reviews are still very good. The only difference is we paid $60.00 a night back then!

We first stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago, and this is the first time we've stayed since their renovation. The location is perfect for seeing the sights of Paris, and is close to museums, gardens, shops, restaurants and the metro. The rooms are decorated with interesting colors and furniture. Although the rooms may be small by US standards, they provide everything that is needed in an elegant style. The service is friendly and helpful. We don't travel to Paris often, but we will continue to stay at this gem.

Room Tip: Rooms on the courtyard are quieter than those on the street, but it's fun to hear the bustle of...

For those who love hotels with modern, slightly funkier aesthetics, Hotel du Continent is perfect. Located right in the heart of Paris' most chic shopping districts – Galleries Lafayette, Printemps, the Opera, Madeleine, Rue du Rivoli, Rue St Honore, Place Vendome and Place du Concorde are all within easy walking distance – this small gem absolutely justifies its 3-star rating. There is a decent breakfast and a basic Honesty Bar to satisfy those early morning and late night cravings. And you don't even miss the lack of a restaurant with so many cafes around the place. De Rosa, which lies just opposite the hotel, is perfect for anything from breakfast to dinner, while Ferdi (next door) is one of the city's top model and designer haunts,

We stayed in the Junior Suite on the 6th floor (Room 612) and it was generously sized by Paris standards... besides being about 2/3 the price of any other equivalent room in the area. The bathroom was also comfortable and the shower area was amongst the most roomy I have ever seen in Paris. However, the decor was a bit too loud for me – reds and blues teemed with graphic carpets – but that's just personal taste. As I said, this is for people who prefer the modish and funky, for whom it would be perfect.

Since the hotel is pretty new, it's sparkling clean. The service is exceptional – they will help sort out all your problems, whether it's getting a SIM card, giving printouts or booking a cab to the airport. Despite being in one of the city's most hip districts, it was quiet through the night and early mornings + the WiFi worked amazingly well across the 5 devices we were carrying. The in-room mini bar is expensive (2 euros for a small bottle of Evian) but it worked well enough to stash our own drinks.

All in all, it's great value for money – though I expect prices to shoot up once the fashion crowd discovers its existence. I may not be back purely because I love more classic hotels but it's exceptional on every other count.

Room Tip: – Choose your floor based on the aesthetic you like. For instance, the 1st floor is more classic Eur...

This small beautifully decorated hotel is located near so much that the Right Bank has to offer--the Louvre, Place Vendome, Rue du Rivoli, Place du Concord, and all the shopping and culture. The rooms are small but smartly decorated with large graphic wallpaper representing different continents. The staff is pleasant and helpful. A couple of doors down is a small restaurant that boasts the best hamburger in Paris strangely enough and a favorite haunt of Jay-Z. Easily walkable from the bus from the airport that stops at the Opera. Great value when I stayed there.
