I am writing this review on the night before my last because my girlfriend and I have had absolutely enough with Hotel Niel. We have been travelling around Europe for 2 weeks, and this was our last stop, only to end up like this.

Where do I begin? Hmmm...How about the fact that my Ipod was stolen from our room as we were having breakfast? We had left the room for 30 minutes to go down, thinking it should be fine to leave our things as they were. However on our return, we found that someone had obviously been into our room (notice I use the word been into, not broken into). Among things which I lost was my brand new 30 gb ipod as well as, of all things, a travel adaptor.

Open questiong the chambermaid who was just in the corridor, she just said something in french like I do not know its not my problem and walked away! The front desk were equally rude, instead chastising me for not leaving my stuff in the so called hotel "safe". ahem, but excuse me, where is the safe? Oh, its a drawer at the reception...Lovely!

To add insult to injury, the staff were consistently rude to me and my girlfriend, and for the following two days, I feel we have been victimised. Now I am searching for another hotel nearby, I found one and the staff advised me to book online to save on the rate and then come back to the hotel, as is what I am doing now.

I can't wait to get out of this hotel. If you have any sense, stay away.

A real find, just a quick walk from the Arc de Triomphe in a very quiet street. Nice local bars and restaurants and well served by the metro. Recently refurbished throughout. Rooms, as with most Parisian hotels, were on the small side but nicely furnished, comfortable bed and with arctic air-conditioning. The staff were all very helpful and a point to note is that they do have a secure locked room for left luggage if you dont want to haul it around the city on your last day. I only mention this as its the first time I've noticed it in any of the hotels I've stayed in here.

For the money its well worth searching out, I would have no hesitation in booking a room here again.

This newly re-furbished hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the Champs Elysee and the Arc de Triomphe. The whole hotel was spotless, the room comfortable and tastefully furnished. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. We would certainly stay here again when visiting Paris. Excellent value for money.
