“Much better than expected ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I initially booked this hotel for its location and price. After reading the reviews on here I was a little worried. However, on arrival I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were really friendly and helpful, which was consistent throughout our stay. We were here for 4 nights and had quite an enjoyable stay. The room and bathroom were very spacious. For this price, I was expecting a much smaller room. We have visited Paris three times and stayed in different places each time. This is the only one I would return to. Previous hotels have been very small, expensive and in less proffered locations.
This hotel is very conveniently located with the Gare du Nord at the end of the road, and supermarkets and shops at the other end. The hotel does have a lift, but even though it is small, we found it helpful. Actually having a lift in a low budget hotel in Paris is a miracle. If you've been to paris before then you'll know that lifts are few and far between!
Our room was clean and spacious. The beds were made daily and fresh towels provided when needed. Having a hotel that provides towels was also a bonus for us. We faced out onto the main road, which was always very busy. However, once the windows were closed you could barely hear a thing. The room was lovely and warm too.
When we checked out we left our luggage for the day as our flight home was quite late which was great! As the hotel is so close to the Gare du Nord it was little effort to go and pick the suitcases up and then jump on the train the the airport.
Sure the place needs updating in terms of decor, but if you look past that, it's actually a decent little place.
The only downside was that the wifi didn't reach our room. A small inconvenience if anything. We would just sit in the dining type area to look at whatever we needed to.
I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is right by the north station and it is very convenient. There are restaurants and supermarkets around. We were on the 5th floor and wifi does not work above the 3rd floor. The air conditioning/fan does not work. TV loses signal every minute. The bathroom is clean and in decent shape. The bedroom is in rough shape. I got bitten by something multiple times on the last night of stay. I m not sure if it is bed bug. The receptionist was friendly and fairly helpful. I would only recommend this place if you need to be very close to the north station.

This hotel pretty much ruined my stayed in Paris. It was horrible. I said a prayer that I didn't catch anything when I got in the bed. The room smelled of damp. There were stains on the walls. Wifi didn't work. Telly didn't work. No hair dryer, had to pay a deposit for a tiny one from the reception. Shower had to be held with one hand, so difficult to wash hair. Worst of all, I was on a business trip and my company booked it. I considered quitting my job! The reception is ok and they have done a good job on the website...don't be fooled!

Firstly, you have to walk up a flight of stairs with all your luggage to get to the extremely small elevator which also goes
to the wrong floor when you select the floor you want to go to. When we got to our hotel it smelt of cigarettes and the room was very small. The shower door was missing a shower screen so the whole bathroom floor got wet while showering, the sink drain was blocked with a previous persons hair which was disgusting and the water would not go down. There was two leaks In the roof . The first leak was seen by housekeeping and all they did was put a bucket below to catch the water that's it! The second leak was through the light which then caused the power to go out in the morning and we could not see a thing because it was so dark! Very bad experience and service!! The final night we were there after they realised our room was basically falling apart they moved us to a downstairs room which was much nicer, but because the room was right next to the breakfast area you are woken up very early by the sound of people's plates and cutlery banging together and people talking loudly and laughing! Very unimpressed! Also when we left the rude receptionist (with beard and glasses) would not let us leave out bags there until we caught our train which meant we had to drag all our heavy luggage around Paris!!! Appalling!! Would not recommended to anyone!

2 minutes walk to Eurostar and the Metro with plenty of restaurants around for dinner and some for breakfast. Very reasonable price for Paris. We had 2 rooms - the twin was spacious and the water pressure in the shower was good but there was no shower curtain nor drainage hole in the floor, so you had to be careful not to splash. The double room was much smaller and had serious mould issues in the bathroom and water stains on the wallpaper below the air conditioner plus an erratic shower. The rooms were the same price, so I guess it's just 'luck of the draw' as to the quality of the rooms. We were on the 4th floor and the free wi -fi didn't work up that high so we had to keep going down to the foyer to use it - the 79 steps got a bit tedious after a while!

Nice receptionist, he's always there, no matter how early we woke up, helpful person. The location is good, especially if you travel a lot using the metro/train. Just 1 minute walking to the Gare du Nord.

Good for 1-2 mights at most, very convenient to Gare Du Nord but general area can be a bit intimidating. Staff were nice, wouldn't recommend breakfast as croissants and bread rolls were hard, coffee & juice were good.
