Great little hotel that was convenient to the metro, which is a good thing. The Metro Line 7 was the best adn easiest to get to, but Line 6 was a little hike underground. All in all it was convenient. The hotel itself is quite charming, with a spiral staircase, and a very small lift, if you are too large you may not want to stay here. The room was small, but big enough to sleep in and rest and while the windows to the inside of the hotel were large, they were a voyeur's dream as the entire courtyard of 2 other buildings could see into your room. The coffee and tea service was convenietn, but buy your own coffee and tea at the FranPrix. The bathroom was small, but we are slender people, so larger types will find it difficult. There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. The staff speak english well enough, but the night staff seemed a bit quirky and we wouldn't want to spend too much time in the lobby at night as they were a bit...eccentric. Would recommend people stay there.

This hotel was ideally located for my daughter and I to ondulge our fantasy of living like Paris locals. It was easily accessible by three metro lines and the Metro was so well connected that we could get anywhere iin less than 45 minutes.

The room was not beautiful, but it was much nicer than I expected for the price. There was even the requisite Parisian mini balcony. There were few amenities, but the coffee bar was always stocked and we did not have any surprise charges when we checked out (Shout out to Expedia!) We just handed the key in, and they said no charges and we got on our prearranged shuttle.

There was breakfast at the hotel for an extra 7.50 Euro but it didn't look appealing so we never took advantage. We always grabbed a croissant and a pain au chocolat at the boulangerie down the road (On Sunday and Monday that was closed by the way).

The hotel was clean. Some nights they didn't change the sheets, but we didn't really mind. For two nights though, they didn't clean the tub, and that was a problem because I was travelling with a six year old, who took home half of the Tuileries on the soles of her feet!

But that was really my only complaint - the cleaning was inconsistent. Sometimes fabulous sometimes bad. Also the guy at the front desk during the days - Dale - was a little pushy with the attraction tickets.

Oh yeah, there is an internet cafe ideally located two doors down on Rue Veronese and a Fran Prix supermarket two doors the other way. Seriously - VERY CONVENIENT HOTEL!!!

This is a very nice little hotel with excellent location in Paris' 13th arrondisement. Situated on a quiet street, just beside the busy Avenue des Gobelins, there is everything you need nearby. Two Metro stations are 2 mins walk from the hotel - Les Gobelins and Place d'Italie, from the latter run three different Metro lines. About 100 metres up the Rue Veronese lies a big supermarket, "Franprix", which has about everything you could possibly need. The area is packed with nice and reasonably priced restaurants and it takes only 8-9 mins to walk up to the Latin Quarters and the Rue Mouffetard where there are numerous cosy restaurants. The buffet breakfast is above average and you can eat as much as you like. The rooms may be on the smaller side but beds are nice and some rooms even have a balcony. Skip expensive hotels in th 5th arrondisement and choose this one instead. It is a gem!

This was my third stay at the Kyriad Italie Gobelins (with the two previous stays being when it was called the Hotel Veronese). This is a great little hotel in a wonderful location. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the Place d'Italie Metro station (which has access to three of the most useful metro lines) and in the heart of a diverse Paris neighborhood. The restaurants near by are predominantly Italian but we had great Moroccan food in the neighborhood as well (at La Sirroco). On the weekends (or at least on Friday and Sunday when we visited) there is a wonderful (and rather large) market just off of the Place d'Italie circle where you will find great produce, cheeses, meats, and a variety of other items. Our only regret was that we didn't have a kitchen since the produce looked and smelled much better than what we have in any of the markets in the Washington DC area. Who knew that strawberries could smell that could from 10 feet away!

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. Our first two nights were in room #3, and I wouldn't suggest staying in it or any of the other first floor rooms since they are rather loud. Room #3 is especially loud since it is surrounded by the stairs, elevator, front desk, and the luggage room. But they graciously moved us up to the 5th floor (with a balcony over looking the street) once it was available. This was a much better room. For European hotel rooms it was spacious. The room was clean and bed was pretty comfortable. The view was nothing special but it was nice to have a little balcony.

The hotel has a hot pot in each room, along with tea, coffee, and cookies that you can enjoy. The hotel used to include a good breakfast with the rate but how it is 7.50 extra. It still looked good but we opted to go with some of the wonderful pastry shops in the neighborhood. There are also several small grocery stores
just around the corner, as well as a laundromat about 3 blocks away. The staff speaks English and they were also very helpful in assisting us with making reservations at restaurants (our French is minimal at best).

The Kyriad is not the Ritz but it is a clean, friendly, safe, and great value hotel for those of us who aren't looking to blow our budget on where we stay. We will probably stay there the next time we are in Paris and would recommend it to our friends.

On a round the world trip this was the worst hotel we stayed at! We were there only one night, after transferring from a flight to train.

The rooms were TINY. With 2 cases, 2 people you had no room to move, in fact we had to put our bags in front of the door, not great for safety.

The bathroom we thought was a cupboard at first.

After a long flight from China, we needed sleep. My husband had to get up at 1am to ask some 20 somethings to be quiet, they were shouting, running along the corridor and watching TV with their door open.

the evening staff was friendly, however in the morning we asked for a taxi to be called to take us to Austerlitz, we were told they couldn't and that there was ataxi rank round the corner. After walking 300m we found the rank and no taxis!

Understandably this was a cheap hotel but never again, I would rather spend double! This was a backpacke hostel.
