“Outstanding Thai Food in Paris.......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

We dropped into Khao Thai which is just around the corner from the hotel we were staying at in St Germaine and we were very pleasantly surprised at both the hospitality and the food that was served for our meal.

It is a small restaurant with seating for about 30 people however it has a modern feel and subtle decor which is very appealing. The menu is quite good with plenty of choices and whilst the wine list is small, there are some quality wines available.

The service was quick and efficient and the food was prepared from scratch which means there is a little wait until the food arrives. However the wait is worth it with freshly prepared courses presented in a creative manner and the taste was beyond expectations.

From a price perspective, it was a very, very reasonable outcome and one that went nowhere near breaking the bank. Good food, great service and wine at a very reasonable price, what more could you ask for?

Definitely recommended for people who want a good meal in a very relaxed atmosphere at a great price.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012 via mobile

We ate at this restaurant during our last night of our visit to Paris, and it was a wonderful way to end a short vacation. Great friendly staff. I loved the thom ka kai (to be honest until now my favorite thai soup always has been tom yum kung, but now I'm not so sure anymore). The panaeng neua and the pad pak were just great. One may consider the dishes on the pricey side, but for Paris, price quality ratio is very good.

“Absolutely great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We had planned a michelin star restaurant in the neighborhood which was closed on mondays. We walked around and found this one by accident - and what a pleasant surprise! Only ten tables, two dedicated waiters, everything within reaching distance, brilliant food, good cocktails and nice setting. Truly a small family owned thai restaurant with a modern and trendy feel. Nice decor, short menu and short winelist but everything on it we tested tasted absoluely great. Prices very fair. Full house in our books.

“Nice place for informal meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Small, quaint Thai place on Rue Dauphine. Food was quite good, looked and tasted fresh. Service was courteous, staff attentive. Price was quite reasonable too. They added extra rice to our bill which was corrected readily when we complained. I would like to think that it was a genuine mistake. We ordered a shrimp curry that came in a hollowed out coconut, a beef dish and some noodles. Overall a good experience.
