We had originally reserved at another hotel on the Rue de Turbigo. When we arrived at our original hotel it was absolutely HORRIBLE (Hotel Bellevue Chariot D'Or)! We immediately set out on foot and were fortunate enough to find the Hotel Paris France on the same street and it had availability. It was very charming, clean, and well appointed. The lobby entrance has some beautiful mosaic tile work and the lounge area was comfortable with large leather couches and a bar. It was actually much more than we expected for the price. The view from our room was beautiful and the staff was very, very friendly and helpful. I would recommed this hotel to anyone looking for accomodations in this price range. You will not be disappointed.

This hotel came recommended by a friend as a relatively cheap, no frills hotel that was in a good location (ie near metro and safe part of paris), for a good price with English speaking staff. It lived up to the recommendation. The rooms and bathrooms are small and the bed was less than supportive (and like most of Europe the pillows were thin), however, we didn't go to Paris to hang out in our hotel. The hotel is in a lovely spot with a great grocery store around the corner, coffee shops line the streets around it and it is barely 5 mins walk to several metro stops. The staff was great. They gave us a recommendation to a traditional french restaurant and it was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. (it was tucked down an alley (walking distance to the hotel), the owner was the chef and his wife the waitress, it was small and intimate with lots of old french ambiance and the food to die for - sorry I don't remember the name). The room itself was clean as was the bathroom - lots of hot water. We also had access to internet for a small fee (although it was pretty slow). Apparently the hotel also serves breakfast for a small fee, but I'd recommend skipping that and enjoying something fresh from the surrounding cafes.

After reading reviews of this hotel and various others I was not expecting much and was therefore very pleased with what we got.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was a decent size and clean. My husband had booked through the hotel's website and found it easy enough to do. Confirmation came through promptly and they were very helpful over email in the time before we travelled. They were very happy to accommodate our early arrival and even had our room ready for when we arrived at around 10am.

Excellent shower over the bath, although the bathroom itself was quite small but comfortable enough for what you need to do in it.

Location was great, 10min walk to Pompidou Centre and bars, cafe's. Very close to the metro.

All in all a very good choice and I would stay there again with no hesitation.

The main advantage of the hotel is the location: barely some 15 minutes walk from the Louvre. Rooms are ok but tiny; the bathrooms are even smaller and rather unpleasant. The hotel is near the Republique metro lines, so it has an easy access to most parts of the city. It doesn`t include breakfast. Overall it's ok, though there must be better options around...
