stayed 3 nights here in june 09 and was very happy with our choice , as always the advice given on T/A was spot on, this was a nice budget hotel and wouldnt hesitate in staying again, good location and a few minutes gentle walk to a choice of two metro stations and you are not far from any of the must see's.
Rooms were very small but what you would expect in Paris and for the money paid, and i know of a lot of hotels in paris a lot more expensive with the same sized rooms so no complaints about the size.Very clean and TV, kettle with tea and coffee etc.
Bathroom was also small but done the job nicely with plenty clean towels and hot water.
We had a bath with a shower but we travelled with friends who only had a shower in their room , so if you like a soak please keep this in mind.Breakfast was standard fare but was tasty and set you up nicely for the day, would reccomend that if you want breakfast in the hotel it would be better getting that included in your package at the time of booking and that will save you a good few euros.
i am happy to recommend this hotel

Arrived from Garu de Nord via BUS No 42 and the BUS stop to get down is Rue Roulle. The bus stop is almost opposite to hotel. There are 2 different stops for arrival from and departure to Garu de Nord. The arrival stop from Garu de Nord is one street parallel to hotel and the departure to Garu de Nord is just outside hotel.

The hotel rooms are small and bathroom is also small. Since you would be out the whole day roaming around , it doesnt matter really. The cleanliness is very good. We stayed for 5 days and the rooms got cleaned everyday as we told them to do so. Location is best. Bir Hakim metro is nearest probably 5-7 mins walk. So is Duplex Metro around 10 mins walk. Can connect to Disney Land from BirHakim/Duplex->Nation (line no 6)- > Disneyland Paris.(RER A from nation to disney)

Hotel had breakfast - 9 EUR, and tea coffee free served in room. Location of hotel super. You can go to Eiffel tower any time you wish. Its a 15 mins walk. No need to take any metro or bus . Just walk past the Bir Hakim metro and follow along the river Sienne to go to Eiffel Tower.

Grocery store and Pharmacy store nearby. Lots of resturant near Bir Hakim and Duplex metro. Staff was good. they spoke good English.Internet cafe called Milk is also nearby. However if you have your own laptop you can connect to free wireless in hotel lobby. they charge if you connect from room. There was a luggage room to keep your luggage after we checked out and picked them up later on the day.Lift is small . Only 2 ppl can go with luggage.

Overall it was a value for money hotel given its location and cleaniless of room.

Despite having booked online the wrong rate was quoted when settling the bill. The single room which I booked for a friend was miniscule with no wardrobe; only an rail to hang things. A single bed which didn't allow much room to move around. On leaving she was informed that the bill hadn't been paid although I had settled this five days before.

Great hotel. Perfect for my needs as a female travelling alone. The rooms are a good size for a two star hotel in Paris. The staff were excellent, with good English. This was great when I felt the need to have a chat:)
I liked staying here so much that I am staying again in July and taking my husband with me this time!
As to the hotel being out of the way, this is part of its charm. It's right by the river and the eiffel tower, close to the bus and the metro. It's also 5 minutes walk from a bike rental shop. My husband and I will be renting bikes this time so I can show him this beautiful city at our leisure.
I look very much forward to my stay again:)

My best friend and I stayed here for 6 days, in a twin room. Room was on 4th floor, near lift and in corner of hotel. It was small, but this did not matter to us, because we were barely in it! Bathroom was decent size, minimum shelving (again, not enough for two women!) and we basically had to live out of our suitcases, but this did not matter to us. Room does have a 'wardrobe' of sorts, with no door, 10 hangers and a storage cupboard space, which is up high (I'm tall so I could reach it) and two 'step' like shelves at the bottom. Small desk, with tea/coffee facility, tv on wall, and windows open. Beds were comfortable and clean, room clean, bathroom clean. Shower is also small, but my very large friend said there was still enough room for her! Soap, shampoo provided and clean fluffy towels. Two power points in room. Room cleaned/made up each day. Staff very friendly and helpful and most spoke english very well.
Breakfast is currently 9 Euro p,p., and had the usual array of breads, toaster, ham, cheeses, fresh fruits & pastries, cereals, jams/preserves, juice, tea & coffee. We liked it, the twice we had it.
Free wireless internet, small lounge area at lobby, snack machine and all the tourist info you need! The lift is also small, only fits 3 people, but we never really had to wait for it.
Great area, right near Eiffel Tower, lots of cafes/bars/restaurants nearby. Supermarkets/Post office/hairdresser nearby.
Loved the bar next door and the restaurant bar down the street (St.Martins...say hi for me if you get to these two!) where the food was good and reasonably priced. All the locals, really made us feel welcome and put up with our poor French!
Number 42 bus on the door step, which we likened to a tourist bus, because of the route it takes and only 1.60 Euro, to Gare Du Nord station (it's last stop). Catch the bus to the hotel, if you've arrived on the Eurostar, quicker and easier, about 30-40 min trip, depending on traffic and there is a lift at this station, so no lugging the cases up and down Metro stairs!
There are also two metro stations close by, Bar Hakiem and Dupliex and RER C a short walk too, so you have easy access to all of Paris. Parking nearby apparently and saw the petrol station on the corner.
Lovely area, felt safe walking around, even at night. Building works happening across the street, but we never heard a thing!
Overall, a very pleasant stay, great price and I'll stay there again!
Thanks to all other reviewers for the honest reviews, we knew what to expect and weren't disappointed!
