When we arrived at this hotel in the middle of the night, they told us that they had no confirmation of our reservation (booked thru Travelocity) in their system. After making numerous calls for about an hour, the fault was on Travelocity. With that said, they had no rooms available for the 3 nights. However, the gentleman at the front desk did whatever possible to aid us. He scrambled to at least let our family of 5 stay the one night and even charged us less than what we had to pay thru Travelocity. The Hotel itself is quite cozy and small but gives that real typical Parisian flavor/vibe. If you are looking for modern comfort-this is not your hotel. It is quite easy to navigate the city by foot- we even walked to the Eiffel Tower at midnight with our 3 teenagers. An unforgettable experience. As we were checking out the next morning, they even offered us coffee and croissant and promptly helped us get a cab for our next destination. We left the hotel with a nice feeling.

Hotel Felicite is fairly conveniently close to the centre of Paris. It is reasonably priced given its location. Our room was small and cramped but we didn't expectany better for the price. Our room was cleaned daily and towels changed every day. Complimentary soap and shampoo was daily supplied. Ensuite shower and toilet was very clean. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was offered (and declined) at twelve euros each. We would recommend this hotel for those on a tight budget

Room Tip: Ask for a room which DOES NOT overlook the street. Early morning deliveries and reuse collections we...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights during our break in Paris. It is located not so near the Metro line, but 15 minutes walk is not considered too far for us. The surrounding is quiet at night and have some restaurants/ grocery shops. There are a few Asian restaurants nearby (Indian, Thai, Chinese and Japanese), but watch out for their operating hours. The metro can take you into Paris city centre in 20 minutes and is actually quite convenient.

Our family room had one double bed, and two single beds. It is ok to accommodate four adults, but very limited space to store your luggage or move around. There is no air-conditioning in our room, but we opened the windows at night for natural ventilation. It should be safe considering we had room at higher floor.

The shower room needs improvement. There was no shower screen so every time after we took our showers, the floor was flooded with water. No extract fan in the shower as well. The lift is very small and out of date. It can hardly fit in two persons with luggages. So, we had to take turn to use the lift. Breakfasts were served in the restaurant (extra charge), but we decided to give them a miss.

The receiptionists were reasonably friendly and helpful, although not very fluent in English.

The carpet was dirty in our hotel room and the bed looked like it had just been slept in (covered in hair and stains). We also found bed bugs, as did my friends in another room. It was a very bad overall experience. We had to ask for a new room in the middle of the night and had no help moving all of our luggage into a new room. Then once we had a new room, the bed once again was not made and looked like it had been used. When I went to go ask for a refund in the morning, the front desk person tried asking me out on a date, trying to avoid my frustrations. It was very unprofessional and I left this hotel feeling exhausted from two sleepless nights and ripped off.

Room Tip: Don't stay here if you don't like bed bugs.

I was very happy with the Hotel de la Felicite! It was conveniently located to a metro station, so it was easy to get around Paris and was actually in reasonable walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees. There were many small grocery stores nearby as well.
The room was perfect for us and was very clean and everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful and spoke a functional amount of English.

We stayed there for 5 nights. Very satisfied with Hotel De La Felicite's service. Although rooms were small, but they were cleaned every morning. Location was convenient too, nearest Metro at Malesherbes. Surrounded by authentic french cafes, so we have no problem at all in finding breakfasts, and there were several pharmacies and a supermarket nearby.
