“Cyclist friendly, reasonably priced, basic hotel. No breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Nice basic hotel, hostel type feel. We had just completed the London to Paris bike ride, so needed somewhere easy and central to stay. The owner was happy to take our bikes indoors into a secure area, which was appreciated, as I didnt really want to leave my bike outside in a capital city. Please note, there is no breakfast included in the cost, there is wifi though. The rooms are clean and fairly modern and have all the basics. There are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and a bakery right next door so you can grab a nice pain au raisin or croissant for breakfast.

Our room was small (my GF hit her arm several times on the window handle since the bed was maybe 12 inches from the wall) but very clean and it worked for us. They have a small breakfast room by the lobby with a coffee and a tea machine (but ask for instructions since it isn't obvious how to use). There is a bakery on the corner, and market and a night-market near-by, and Starbucks up the street. It is a short walk to the Metro stop. Montmarte is an easy walk, but the hotel neighborhood is safe and quiet. So if you are looking for a 2-star hotel in Paris, I can recommend Hotel Darcet. But with a 2-star, you have a small room, "funky" elevator situation, the in-room safe take a key (should be electronic combo), at night the outside door is locked when the lobby attendant is away and flaky WiFi; but you save a lot of money.

Found it very hard booking a hotel in Paris - so much choice, such difference in prices and we were at the end of the cycling trip so needed somewhere that could store our bikes.

Found this hotel clean and convenient, booking went smoothly via email and they were happy to change the date of our stay even though we pre-paid through Expedia. Loads of restaurants and bakeries, food shops etc nearby. Only around half an hour walk to the area around The Louvre or Champs Elysée. On departure, a 15 minute cycle ride along a cycle path to Gare du Nord.

They were happy to store our bikes in their secure courtyard, although there were only two of us - it's a small courtyard so I suspect they wouldn't take a big group with bikes.

This hotel is ideally located for a trip to Paris. It is a short walk from a metro stop and from the many bars and restaurants of Montmartre. The street itself is very quiet though and we had no trouble with noise. My only negative was that I found the bed very uncomfortable as it was a very hard mattress. I had trouble sleeping, however my partner didn't so it is obviously a personal preference.
The staff at the hotel were wonderful, very accommodating, they were happy to help with any queries, and even printed off tickets for us that we had purchased online. WiFi was strong and reliable, and there is a communal kitchen with a fridge that you can use.

Rooms are small but clean and is a 5 minute walk to the metro. There are numerous outdoor cafes or American fast food chains within easy walking distance. There's not a fancy lobby or a concierge lounge but for the price I would stay again. If you've never been to Europe the elevator is small and takes some getting use too, but hey its Europe.

Small and not fancy but as Paris hotels go: good price, lovely staff, and 1 Block from the Metro. 24 hour coffee and tea, bottled water, cold sodas...All free. Immaculate. Tons of restaurants and a great Patisserie across the street for a beautiful morning croissant. What more could I want?? ...really comfy bed with black out screens for a great night's sleep. Voila!

The staff were excellent and made my 9 day stay delightful. Nourdine, Samire, Samia were very professional, while Gabita and cleaning staff kept the hotel in top shape. The hotel is ideally located near Moulin rouge and night life, cafés restaurants, pubs. Easy walking distance to Main attractions and Sacre loceur. Train and buses nearby. My room was modern functional and with a balcony allowing me to enjoy sun. The sun and noise shutter allowed for a peaceful restful sleep. Point for improvement would be bar fridge. But you can use the appliances in the kitchen: fridge. Microwave, electric hot water. They also have an espresso coffee machine. Security was fine as always someone manning reception. Overall I was pleased and would stay again. Aussie David S
