“Charming Hotel at excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2009

Charming hotel in very nice location in Paris. Service was excellent all around including housekeeping. Only complaint would be that the rooms are on the small side, but very well organized with marble bathroom and an excellent air conditioning system. Have stayed before at The Crillion and Le Bristol whcih are great hotels at 3 times the price and was not dissapointed in this hotel but it obviousley cannot compare to those hotels.
Had an excellent meal at Maison du Jardin down the street.

We just returned from 4 nights at the Luxembourg Parc and were very impressed. The hotel is charming and very comfortable. We liked the smaller, more intimate size of this hotel and the decor is perfectly "Paris". The friendly & helpful staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to accomodate us. We stayed in room 26 which features a wonderful terrace patio.

The location was ideal for us, quiet but close enough to walk to the night life. I enjoyed looking at the trees in the Luxembourg Gardens from our terrace.

Overall, an excellent experience.

This charming hotel was so friendly and comfortable i will certainly stay here the next time I am in Paris. The Luxembourg Gardens across the street are a beautiful morning walk that captures the essence of Paris. The rooms were beautifully decorated in very charming french traditional style and the bathroom was luxurious. The desk managers were always very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was scrumptious and with flaky french pastries, but there was healthier cereal if you chose to deprive yourself. The library was a nice place to sit in the evening before going out to dinner. The neighborhood was filled with great little restaurants and we caught a lovely classical concert in the church of St Suplice which is a block away. This is a great hotel if you want to have the neighborhood experience in Paris and get away from the tourist hoards.

We just returned from holiday in Paris where we stayed at this lovely Hotel. It was everything and more than we had hoped for. The first thing that struck us was the scent of the hotel itself. The aroma immediately delights the senses and calms the soul. We were greeted with a staff that was friendly and attentive. Our room, while smaller than American hotel rooms, was absolutely lovely. Sitting at the bar in the evenings enjoying a glass of wine and champagne while chatting with other guests and the bar manager Laurent made the conclusion of each day that more delightful. The hotel was charming and the staff was welcoming and gracious.

We are Paris veterans, having vacationed there on numerous prior occasions over the years. In the past, we've stayed at the grand hotels on the right bank and decided to switch to "la rive gauche" in light of the rave reviews on this site. Simply put, there is no better location in Paris, and we're never going back to the other side of the river. The hotel is situated behind the Luxembourg Gardens in a decidedly non-touristy, true Parisian enclave of the 6th arrondissement. Our executive room had a beautifully rustic look with exposed ceiling beams. Marble abounded in the bathroom and gave off a regal vibe. Free water and welcome gift (a cute bulldog(?) statue) were nice touches. The staff was incredibly pleasant and accommodating. Be sure not to miss the nearby cafes and bistrots on the Boulevard du Montparnasse -- La Rotonde and La Closerie des Lilas in particular. While not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, I cannot imagine getting more bang for the buck in Paris than at this hotel.

The Hotel Luxembourg Parc was a tremendous place for my wife and I to stay for ten days over New Year's on our honeymoon. Anything that we needed, the incredibly sweet and attentive staff took care of it instantly - whether it was making reservations for us at local restaurants, booking us a New Year's Eve dinner, or offering suggestions about places to visit. Each morning, we were greeted with complimentary breakfast in bed, and each night, we relished the opportunity to have a nightcap at the hotel bar and lounge, discussing our trip and French culture with our gracious and passionate hosts. The room size was perfectly fine for us - very roomy and on a high floor overlooking the Luxembourg Gardens - and the marble bathroom was spectacular. We will never forget how comfortable the staff made us feel, and we look forward to a return to Paris.

I stayed for 5 nights at the end of April and I was 100% pleased with the hotel. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. It is a great location and walking distance to so many things! The room was darling and always clean! Laurent Bizy (Chef de Bar) was friendly and gave excellent recommendations to restaurants...have a Kir Royale at the bar and have a chat with him. Excellent value! If you are visiting Paris, stay at this hotel!
