“Value for Money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Stayed 8 nights at this hotel in. Room is small but location is good. Taxi fare from CDG to the hotel cost abt 60 Euro

Pros
- Monoprix (supermarket) is just next door and alot of restaurants nearby.
- Hotel is near the train station also.
- Good value

Cons
- Need to climb up quite a number of flights of steps to get to the lobby. Best if you don't carry too big bag as each step is not big
- The hotel lift is tiny
- Breakfast cost 12 Euro, not worth the $. And no lunch/dinner is served in this hotel
-The road outside the hotel was being blocked for some reno. So its not easy to spot the hotel

This hotel was in walking distance of all the main attractions. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The only negetatives were that the air conditioning did not work in the room, there was a bit of a walk up steps to reception and the lift was very small. On booking this hotel I had read reviews which had suggested that you should request a room at the end of the hall with a window and that is exactly what I did because the room seemed a bit bigger than rest of the rooms in the hotel and the window came in handy when the air conditioning did not work. The room was cleaned every day. Overall this hotel was in a good location and very reasonably priced!

The room was tiny, didnt have much space between the wall and bed. The location was great, only a few minutes away from metro and many restaurants nearby. Good value becuase of the price and location.

We stayed at the Du Parc this July for 4 nights. First the good things. Very convenient location. 5 minutes walk to Montparnasse metro station which connects several lines. We could get to any major attraction in 15-20 minutes. The rooms are tiny. I had read several reviews mentioning this but had no idea how tiny it was until I got there. Breakfast is 12 euros. Simply not a good enough for that kind of money. We found a decent breakfast place outside and that was way better, When we checked in we got there late. We had a few suitcases and we needed some help because the lobby is one flight up and there is no elevator to go upto the lobby. The guy at the reception was not helpful at all. In fact he was kind of rude. I wasn't happy but in the morning the regular guy at the reception was very helpful. Very nice. Just be aware that if you get there late you may have to deal with some characters who aren't exactly welcoming. Overall it worked out ok for us. Just Adequate.

We stayed at the Hotel du Parc during a business trip stretching several days.
We wanted somewhere close to the RER yet in the thick of it and Hotel du Parc was ideal for this.
On our door step were lots of very nice Bistros and Creperies serving delicious Gallettes and typical French cooking. The excellent Monoprix supermarket was a few metres away and a weekend market gave the location a real buzzy charm.
Breakfast was quite expensive (all of Paris is expensive) but we chose to take it and I thought it was really very good. Lots of choices from fruit salad to eggs and meats to yogurts and pain au chocolat.
Parisian hotels are a real hit and miss and I have stayed in a few that I instantly forgot or would rather not remember and I though that this one was a keeper. Not luxury but comfortable and pleasant, charming staff and quite good value. The walls were a bit thin but nothing a good pair of earplugs couldn't block out!
We will return in the spring.

Just returned from a stay at the Hotel du Parc. This was definitely the smallest hotel room I've ever been in, but it was clean, comfy, very hipply decorated (love the rose motif throughout the place), and a good value for the money. There wasn't a lot of room -- just the beds (one double and one single), a small table and two upright chairs -- but it was just fine to get a good night's sleep and get ready for the day. The bathroom had modern fixtures, was nicely tiled and was a good size.

The location is great. Close to the subway, a host of places to eat, a french bakery and liquor store. The staff was very nice and helpful. We don't speak French, but they were pretty fluent in English and helped direct us to places to eat, etc. One big plus: the place offers free wi-fi. We could get anywhere we needed to go in Paris by connecting on the subway (the Hotel is only a couple of blocks from the Montparnasse station).

The only downside is that there is no lift to get from the street level to the hotel desk on the second floor, so you'll have to carry your bags up a winding stairway to check-in. Once you do that, there is a lift to the floors above.

If I go back to Paris, I'll definitely go back to this property. It was an EXCEPTIONAL value for the money and I loved the decorating throughout.

Nice little hotel, on a quiet street. Rooms are functional and clean, everything works perfectly. It's just steps away from a monoprix, several cafés and metro stations.
Since the breakfast is 12 €, we decided to buy some groceries at the monoprix, there's no mini fridge in the room but they let you keep your stuff in the hotel's kitchen fridge.
The staff is really helpful, since we were going to Orly Airport they gave us a good tip on taking the Air France shuttle, within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
