“Cler Hotel, your address in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I have been to Cler Hotel for 5 working days during a business trip last march 2015. The hotel was freshly renovated. I found a resting place with conmfortable furnitures and a relaxing environement. I appreciated the situation, clise to the Eiffel Tower and to the authentic Paris I was seeking to see. Also, I had the pleasure of meeting the 2 brothers and owners. 2 dynamic and rigorous young people which sole ail is to provide a high standard service and give a warm welcome to their clients. Rooms are small, as usual in Paris, but clean, modern, well furnished and equipped (very small cupboard, though!)
The lift is extremely narrow - You could use it to measure the size of your hand luggage - not for claustrophobics!
The location is very good: Rue Cler alone is a discovery: very quiet and full of food shops of high quality. The area is also full of restaurants of all kinds (well, this is normal in most areas of central Paris...)

Room Tip: Take a room facing the inner courtyard, and you'll see the Tour Eiffel

Highly recommend this petite hotel, very comfortable, with everything you need , even a tiny lift ! Friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fine, beds, shower great, it's only been open for 4 months, so fresh and lovely.Location was really central, but without the crazy tourist feel .Walked to Eiffel Tower for a picnic , most nights .Great produce and boutique cheese shops outside the door. Restaurants everywhere, even a laundromat round the corner. Loved the decor, and the value.Would definitely go there again !

Room Tip: The rooms don't vary much , the top floor with the studio rooms are the only other choice

I recently stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, and found that the staff were very friendly and willing to help, specifically the 2nd/3rd shift guy - tall, thin with glasses (don't remember his name!).

Anyway, he was very helpful, even when we checked in and my debit card from the US was not working (after already calling my bank), he said I could just come back to the desk on Monday to pay for the stay! I was able to go earlier as my bank is open 24/7, but that was awesome service.

The rooms were small, but cozy and updated (which I prefer). They do not use washcloths in Paris, at least in most places, so be prepared to bring your own, or buy a loofa from FranPrix right across the street.

The hotel is about a mile from the Eiffel Tower and in the opposite direction, is about a mile or so walk to the Seine River, where we took a boat cruise. Excellent location!

The wifi was excellent; I could also access it right outside of the hotel doors. I even used a Skype number to make phone calls on wifi using my smartphone, and the quality was awesome.

The neighborhood was great; I loved opening the windows in the morning to see and hear everyone setting up for the street markets and dining at the cafes. It has a real Paris feel to it! :-) When you close your windows, you hearing NOTHING! They have awesome windows installed!

I would definitely stay here again should I ever return to Paris.

Room Tip: We were located on the street side (Rue Cler) of the hotel, and with the windows closed, it was comp...

Dear Samantha,

Thank you for your nice comment about our hotel.

All the hotel staff was really delighted about your comment, everyone try to satisfy our guest and recommend the best option to enjoy our nice city of lights.
We are glad to read you felt like at home and enjoyed our cosy atmosphere.

Our central location near the eiffel tower adds charm and so much options for exploring paris. it's like to be in a little french village (CLER STREET is highly recommended by Rick Steves) so close to the eiffel tower always magic to see the lights at night, and the opportunity to walk along the seine river.

from the spring they organise some animations along the seine river quay and you can enjoy have a drink, it is wonderfull !

We hope having the pleasure to hosting you again.

thank you again

I in Paris every two weeks and trying out a different hotel each time. This time Cler dis not disappoint, very friendly staff welcomed me and I went up in the tiny(!) elevator - a tourist attraction in itself - to the room, which was decent, modern but very small. I dis not like the fact that for the 200 eur I had to pay the minibar was empty and there wasn't even a small bottle of water to drink. For the rest, location is good, close to the Eiffel tower and in Rue Cler which is pedestrian and a nice market street. Opposite the hotel is a nice restaurant.

Very clean and tidy room. Room is small but ok for this price range. Good price performance. The only I wasn't happy about is the room key policy. They don't let you keep the key and need to leave the key in the front desk when going out. But then when you get the key back, you just need to tell the front desk the room no. without any verification of your identity. That's very bad.

What a fab hotel! The Hotel Cler is just about perfect. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the rooms are beautifully designed with everything you need. We booked as a family and had four rooms on various floors. The street facing rooms were bathed in sunlight in the morning and the views across Paris made it feel like you had your own little apartment. Our room (304) overlooked the courtyard at the back. It was very quiet and we could see the sweep of the Eiffel Tower lights over the buildings at night - magic! The Hotel is on a beautiful pedestrian street within walking distance of many iconic Parisien landmarks. We stayed for six nights over Easter and were delighted with the whole experience.

Room Tip: Some rooms (eg 304, 501) have a walk-in shower, whereas others (eg 503, 603) have an over-bath show...
