“Magnifique!!! An excellent boutique hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2009

We booked this hotel because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and Rick Steves recommendations. We stayed there for six nights. It is a lovely hotel. The rooms are small, but very practical. The bathroom was very functional. The bed was comfortable. The hotel and rooms are nicely decorated. There was good storage in the room and a small refrigerator where we could store water, etc. The room was very clean. A/C - kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent location - about two blocks from the Eiffel Tower. We noticed a clean laundry facility across the street. Great cafes, patisseries and restaurants within very short walking distance. A store is about a 1/2 block away. There is a small Italian restaurant 3/4 of a block away on a corner. Excellent gourmet food reasonably priced. The Metro system is not far way and is easy access. We had no problems going to all of the different sites using the Metro/subway system. DO NOT RENT A CAR - easy to get around everywhere and inexpensive. The hotel set up a shuttle service from and to the airport. Good price and reliable. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Londres Eiffel again. Paris was wonderful and we are already planning a second trip. The French people were very nice and helpful (somewhere along the line they got a bad rap), the food was delicious, and the accomodations excellent. Paris is a must see!

Visited Paris with my partner as a surprise "milestone birthday" long weekend trip...it was her first time there and I wanted a small, charming, central hotel.

The Londres Eiffel meets all my criteria from the moment I visited their website. And once we set foot in it we were both delighted with the choice.

Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and eager to help as well as answer all our questions.

Our room was lovely though slightly small (which is the only fault we found with the hotel) but adequately sized for our romantic escapade.

Location is ideal for all sites in central Paris as well as for RER train connections to Versailles. With a fantastic patisserie, a few bistros and a handy supermarket as well as a pharmacy all within a block's radius.

Overall we had a magnifique weekend in Paris and choosing The Londres Eiffel hotel had a lot to do with it.....we thoroughly recommend it!

We had 2 rooms on the 6th floor with views of the Eiffel tower. The rooms were reasonably sized, compared to the usual cramped Paris hotel rooms. The bathrooms were quite nice, very clean, and adequate in size. The front desk was so welcoming, very helpful and gracious, arranging transportation for us, and accomodating when we arrived earlier than our room was available. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel de Londres Eiffel for two nights and had a very pleasant stay. The staff was always there and ready to help with anything - directions, transportation, reservations - anything we requested. The room situation was something we wanted - but couldn't reserve ahead of time. We were allowed to see a couple of rooms to see which one we liked better, which we appreciated. Our room was on the third floor and had two windows (with flower boxes) that overlooked the Rue Augereau below . We could hear the street noises below with windows open but we wanted that as a part of the experience. The room was small but we expected that. It had more closet/storage space than much bigger rooms. I thought the bed was hard at first but I slept like a log. One very notable point of interest about this hotel was that it was very clean.

The Eiffel Tower, bus and subway, highly rated restaurants, boulangerie and markets are all within a very short walk. The Seine, Les Invalides and the Rodin Museum are also fairly close.

We had a great time in Paris and this hotel was a big part of that.

Summary: Our trip to Paris was fantastic, and we were sad to have to leave. Part of the reason was the hotel. Hotel de Londres Eiffel was wonderful, and we have high standards. Great location, great staff, nice rooms, and even free wifi.

Front Desk: The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful, making excellent restaurant recommendations.

Rooms: This is Paris, so hotel rooms are never large, without spending double or triple what we paid. More important than size, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Location: The hotel is ideally situated, within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the Metro, grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping.

Overall: This is not the cheapest hotel in Paris, but it is a great value given its quality and location. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we return.

Since we had never visited Paris, we did a little research and found that Rick Steves uses this hotel for his tours. So we decided to use this hotel and were very pleased with everything. Rooms are small compared to US standards, but they were very clean, adequate, and in an ideal location for transportation, bakery, grocery store, laundry, and places to eat. The maids kept the room spotless. I believe the hotel was recently remodeled. There is a phone, tv,hair dryer and ac in the room. There is no need for a transformer/converter unless you bring something (like an old 110V hair dryer) that doesn't a have the variable voltage built in. I used the small adapter to recharge my camera and phone battery and had no problems.

Everyone on staff was very helpful and willing to do anything to assist you. This was very important for us since we had a lot of questions. Be sure to ask the front desk to make you a reservation the day before your departure for a shuttle van to the air port, cost 38EU for a couple. It took us 30 minutes to the airport, but time will vary depending upon traffic. We had a 6am pick up for a 9am departure.

Unless you can find a better hotel with a cheaper price, I suggest you start with Hotel Londres-Eiffel. I would use the hotel again and definitely recommend to my friends and relatives.

A few suggestions, buy the Museum Pass, buy a carnet of 10 Metro tickets, plan each evening for the next day sightseeing, start early to avoid lines and give you more time to sightsee instead of waiting in line, have water with you at all times (buy liter at grocery store for approximately .60 EU), bring dried fruit for snacks, do one picnic at the park or on a bench near the Eiffel Tower at night, have a small Paris map with you at al times, get a good night's sleep since the days are long with a lot of walking, and keep the name, address and phone number of your hotel with you at all times.

Finally, I give the hotel an A+.

Bob

The convenient location, the friendly and helpful staff, the beautifully decorated rooms, and the charm of the hotel more than compensate for some of the rooms, which are fine by European standards but may seem small to those expecting US-sized rooms. We would definitely stay here again.
