we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. In great location easy walking distance to arc de triomphe and the eiffel tower. the free wifi was also great. I will definitely return.

Truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Regence Etoile. Great location within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Satisfactory continental breakfast. Will stay again.

We liked this hotel for the location - very central and very close to any kind of public transportation (for the city and the airport), nice street and neighbourhood -, the staff courtesy and the room style. Our room was probably meant for two people, so the extra bed was really tiny, but they did not charge any extra fee. The bathroom was large and clean. Only flaw: the room was never tidied up properly (i.e. pyjamas were hidden under the bed sheets, roughly pulled up). We will certanly tell friends about the Regence Etoile in Paris.

We went in the monsoon season, mid-April, but still loved Paris and this hotel contributed to it. The room was small but elegant for the price, very clean and well equipped. That is, except for washcloths, about which one receptionist had no idea. The breakfast, for us, was included and was fine, with a fancy coffee machine. The television was weird, mostly unchangeable, with constant english-language movies and arabic subtitles. The advertising was all in arabic. No employee could help us if we wanted to change. The remote was useless. We heard that the owner is from Tunisia. Anyway, we'd still go back to that hotel..with it's Metro stop so close and a few decent restaurants near us, the best being VinCouer, on Ave Carnot, one block east.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter..

We stayed here in mid-May 2012 for three nights and everything was perfect. The room was very small but charming, with polished wooden floor boards, and absolutely adequate for our needs. The bed was very comfortable (often not the case in France in my experience) and room, linen, bathroom, etc. was squeaky clean. The staff on the front desk were efficient and helpful. They speak English but are happy to allow you to practice your French if you prefer. There are plenty of good restaurants, brasseries and cafés nearby and a bakery just 50 meters down the hill sells delicious patisseries. They do a good breakfast here, though tables were at a premium on the Saturday and Sunday mornings. The hotel breakfast room, located in a bunker-like, windowless basement, was perhaps the only slight disappointment due to the mildly oppressive location but the breakfast itself was good (although the scrambled eggs ran out and were not replaced). All in all excellent value for money right by the Arc de Triomphe and warmly recommended.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back facing out onto a rather barren courtyard. Nice and quiet, though - lovely...

My mom and I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights. It's conveniently located a 2 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe and a 1 minute walk from a Metro station. There are 3 restaurants on the block, along with a nice bakery and a small grocery store. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and they all speak English very well. The room was small, but clean. The bathroom was also small, but modern and more than sufficient. The bed was very comfortable with a fluffy comforter. Extra blanket and pillows were inside the wardrobe. There was an electric kettle in the room, so we made tea in the evenings. Tea bags were provided. I would recommend this hotel to a friend! We loved our stay!

Room Tip: We stayed in a room facing the street but it was still pretty quiet. We could see the Arc de Triomph...

I recently stayed in mid April for 7 nights in a room alocated that had a view of the Arc De Triumphe. How extra wonderful was the view at night time. Top location with extremely helpful staff both at reception, in the breakfast room and servicing your room. The room is not huge however has everything you need. Beds extemely comfortable, rooms very clean, lift to all floors, breakfast plenty of options (do serve English Breakfast tea) and even though close to everfything you are in the quieter part of Paris. Coin laundry is just down the road and turn right and turn right..no more than 4 mins away. Supermarkets close by and some very good restaurants including excellent Japanese which are very reasonable. A great little Italian restaurant just up the road and good value...Pizza's were excellent.Loved the Hotel and especially the location...thought it was great value for money as Paris in this location is very expensive. Also just up the road is the metro9 beware of people trying to sell you metro tickets..just ignore and only purchase from the machines) plus pick up points for the hop on hop off Le Open Tour...highly recommend. Many thanks to all the staff for there assiatnce and advice (being an older Aussie male we ask lots of questions) and especially to Marilyn at reception for some great suggestions. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: If booking for a few days ask for a room with a view of the Arc...just so you are aware you have to...
