“Great location, bad hotel.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

Tiny room but good location. Mostly friendly English speaking staff. Had breakfast once, was terrible. I chose this hotel over a few others because of the free wi/fi so that I could keep in contact with family, it did not work the whole time. Cleaning lady ignored my do not disturb sign everytime and just opened the door if I didnt answer it in 5 seconds. Lift broke down for 2 days and had to walk down stairs, light switch is very difficult to find in the dark. Window facing other apartment windows, not much privacy. All in all I would not recommend this hotel and shouldnt even be 3 star.

This was our first trip to Paris and booked this hotel on Best Western reservation systems. It was a fabulous location so close to the Louvre where we wanted to be and a great value for that location, we were in a triple room. The day front desk staff was wonderful and helped us arrange last minute tours to Versailles (which were also close by) as well as taxis to the airport. A taxi stand is not far and it was a quick taxi to the Eiffel tower, only about 8 euros, We are a family and that just seemed easier to maximize our time instead of figuring out subway. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get the chance.

- Great location (2 minute walk to the Louvre)
- Great quality/price
- Clean
- Single room was relatively small
- Bathroom renovated, clean, everything works
- Easy temperature setting
- Easy to get there from the airports - Near metro and a RER station
- Fridge was not plugged
- I recommend to send an email prior to arriving to confirm price, included items, reservation dates and other special requests (early arrival for example)

This hotel is on the Rue de Richelieu, (there is another with the same name nearby which I've noticed in previous reviews causes confusion). We arrived quite late on Sunday evening. The guy on reception was pleasant and gave us a room key and just pointed at the lift - which is very small. Luckily we were on the first floor and used the stairs after that. The room was large by usual Paris standards. There was plenty of cupboard space. There was a kettle and the makings for tea and coffee. The bed was superking size - definitely the first time we've had one in Paris. It was a lovely surprise. Both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. Overall I was we were impressed. The only negative was that even though we turned the heating off the radiator remained on and the room was rather too warm for us so we kept the window open all night. Breakfast was self-service, the usual croissant, pain-au-chocolat,bread, cheese and ham that you get in most Paris hotels. It was fine. The hotel was brilliantly situated very near The Louvre and close to many restaurants ranging right from the basic pizza, pasta and burger to some gastronomic highlights of French cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the hotel was just right for our needs. One word of warning; more seasoned travellers may be used to this particular con but it was new to us. As we walked along the banks of the Seine a young guy ran up to us holding out a "gold" ring and said we'd dropped it. As we took it to look at he told us we should give him money for a coke or something. We gave it back to him but he refused to take it and said that we should give him money for finding it. We just put it on the ground and ignored him. He picked it up and went off to harass some other tourists. But the same thing happened at least half a dozen times a day for the duration of our stay. After a while we learned just not to make eye contact with anyone running up to us clutching apparently lost jewellery.

Room Tip: We had room 105 which was down some stairs away from other rooms on the floor and made it feel more...

I travel to Paris often and for this trip was on a budget so selected the Best Western. I enjoyed the location, as it was steps away from the Louvre, across from the metro and close to numerous cafes, brassieres and ethnic restaurants. The rooms were on the smallish side but manageable and clean. The breakfast was nothing special (no expresso maker), no cut up fresh fruit, a few times was not ready until 7:15 but the croissant was fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it was better than I expected but don't expect a 4 Star experience here.

My son and I stayed here for two nights at the end of October 2012.
We found the hotel very clean, warm, and above all, in an excellent position for the Louvre, Notre Dame etc....
We had a small room at the back of the hotel, on the 4th floor, and had no problem with any outside noise.
We parked our car in Pyramides car park, less than a five minute walk away, and there were many decent bars and restaurants nearby.
Breakfast wasn't great, there was no hot option, and it was all a bit bland, and at 13 euros each could have got better value in a cafe nearby.
I recommend this hotel, and if someone wants a good value hotel right in the centre of Paris, then this is a good option!

Room Tip: We had a room at the back, and Rue de Richlieu ( at the front ) seemed quite busy, so would ask for...

We stayed in the Louvre Piemonte fro 3 nights. We arrived around 10pm on Sunday evening, the hotel was easy to find and only a 2 minute walk from the Metro station. The reception was helpful contrary to some of the other reviews. I had warned my partner to expect a shoe box sized room and so we were pleasantly surprised with a largish room with plenty of cupboard space etc, nice decour, and decent bathroom. The hotels location was excellent, minutes from the Louvre, walking distance to Latin Quarter, Notre Dame etc. the hotel is really central and 2 minutes from the metro. There was no bar or restaurant the rooms had a mini bar but the prices were steep, €4 for a small water, the street the hotel is on has a couple of mini markets and I would recommend buying a few provisions there and taking them to the hotel. Our bed was comfortable but the room was quite warm and opening the windows wasn't a good option as the street was quite busy with traffic even overnight. The hotel wasn't cheap but overall for a short break it was all round reasonable value and I would certainly use it again.

Room Tip: Room 201 at the front of the building was a largish room but the street was quite noisy with windows...
