“Lovely Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Perfect location! Within an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, buses, Seine river cruises and taxi rank. The rooms have character. There is a market not even 5minutes walk form the Hotel, and many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The reception staff are helpful. Would happily stay here again. Thank you

The rooms were smaller then they looked at the pictuers and the bathrooms were even smaller. But the good service and location made up for the small rooms. With a short distance to the eiffeltower and the metro this hotell was deligthed to stay at. One mark: the bed was very hard and way to few pillows!

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

Stayed for 5 nights at the Prince Hotel. We picked this hotel because of its good location. 5 - 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and 5min away from Rue Cler. The Metro and bus stop right across from the hotel. Also, during the hotel searching process we were following Rick Steves hotel area recommendations which was in the Rue Cler area. However, all the hotels were booked but it turned the Prince hotel had a far better location in our opinion. I recommend looking for hotels on Aveue Bosquet or the Hotel Motte Picquet for good hotel locations. The hotel is right next to two restaurants and the La Terrasse restaurant which we loved is right across from the hotel. There is also a post office nearby where we got to mail postcards and a grocery store across the street which was really convenient to get water, sodas, and sandwhiches.

The room that we had was just OK. Small room (but bigger compared to the room we had in London) and MUCH smaller bathroom. I am 120lbs and it was hard for me to maneuver in the bathroom since it was so small. Also, the bed we got was two separate double beds just placed together. We did have a nice view from the balcony overlooking the street. The front desk/reception service is also just OK. Also, everytime you leave the hotel you have to drop off the room key at the front desk. We stayed at this hotel for sighseeing purposes and that was it. The room was clean and decent. Housekeeping service was efficient. I saw their triple room while housekeeping was cleaning it - and that room and bathroom was way bigger!!! I don't mind staying at this hotel again because of its good location but I would try to get the bigger room. If you just need a room to sleep then this hotel would do. But I certainly would not recommend this place to honeymooners - this hotel does not evoke any romance at all especially with double beds attached. Make sure you read the room/bed description to know what kind of bed you will be getting. Lastly, I don't remember the hotel providing basic toiletries maybe just a bar soap so I recommend you bring your own (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.)

I agree with previous comments. In terms of accomodation, you get what you pay for - small - but functional - rooms and an even smaller lift. However in terms of location its great - really handy for the Eiffel Tower and in easy walking distance for public transport including the open-topped tourist buses.
