“Returned a second time and will come again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

I was going to use "Location, location" as the title of my review but it was already taken, and for a good reason. The location of this hotel is perfect. A few steps from Saint-Michel Metro station, just across the river from Notre Dame.
We walked almost anywhere (6 nights, 10 metro tickets for 2 people).
The only reason I'm reviewing this hotel as less than excellent is the size of the rooms and public areas. Everything is very small.
However, the very very friendly and helpful staff makes up for it. The front desk is manned 24/7 with people who smile and can give good advise (where to buy clothes, recommended restaurant, how to get to places etc.).
We don't bother trying any other hotel. We just come back here.

My sister and I stayed here back in April of 2012. We ususually stay at another Latin Quarter hotel, but they were booked. We found this hotel on Trip Advisor and reserved it based on the wonderful reviews. And we couldn't have been happier! The location was terrific - in the heart of the bustling Latin Quarter, just around the corner from several metro stations, loads of cafes, and shops. Our room (317) was spacious with a lovely, large window facing the street. We didn't have a balcony but the windows were virtually floor-to-ceiling and opened fully so it felt almost like a balcony. And the bathroom (esecially the shower) was great - very clean and large. The staff was very friendly and accomodating as well. We have a new Paris favorite!

Picture perfect Latin Quarter. Two steps to St Michel metro. Street music, shops, restaurants at front door. Gorgeous, quiet Lux Gardens 10 minute walk. Notre Dame 5 minutes. Rooms cozy, clean, extra charge for balcony overlooking the action. No charge for petting the hotel kitty who lives in the lobby and holds court there.

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our wonderful room at this hotel near St. Michel. Plus, we had a balcony with a small table and chairs overlooking a lively street. With the windows closed the street noise was not a problem, however. We did not partake in the breakfast at 12 Euros a piece, since we were located near so many other places to try--but, it is available. The Latin Quarter offered endless possibilities for dining and shopping, but the location was not just convenient for that quarter. It was an easy two block walk to Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, and the flower market. We even walked back from the Champs de Elysee Christmas Market one evening. The St. Michel metro station is just a half block away--we were thrilled to have found this perfect location. When making our reservations, e-mail communications with the hotel received prompt and courteous replies.

Room Tip: We had room 201 and it was a gem!

We stayed for 4 nights in winter. We loved the position and the appearance of the hotel. We pre booked so got a cheap deal and a room with no balcony to keep the cost down. We loved the simple and pretty furniture. No breakfast option for us but the restaurant looked nice. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and restocked daily with lovely bath gel and soap. Double glazed glass blocks the great majority of the noise. We saw some of the families that lived in the apartments across from the hotel - shutting the blinds not a big concern in Paris it seems :) overall the multilingual staff are helpful, friendly and work hard

Fantastic location, just a short walk to all the bustling restaurants. Room was very nice but a little cosy. Glad we are not 'big' people. Otherwise absolutely no complaints. Just a short walk to the Metro from where you can access the whole of Paris. The Louvre is a must, the building itself is just as amazing as the art work held within.

This hotel is in an incredible location, right by the Saint michel metro station which is on the,RER B line giving easy access to and from the airport (and disneyland paris). Lively location with lots of restaurants and bars nearby plus an easy walk to the Louvre and Notre dame. We walked from the Eiffel tower to arc de triomph then back to the hotel too, but i'd say that was about 1 1/2-2miles,so only if you've got comfy shoes and, want to see some sights along the river! The rooms are a bit mini but very clean and comfy beds, plus we arrived to find we had a balcony which was fantastic. We'd definitely stay here again as its great value and an excellent base
