No trip to Paris is complete without a night of jazz -- ironic but true. We were fortunate to find this funky joint near the Mortparnasse train station that had live music on a Monday night, so off we went. Unfortunately I've forgotten the name of the band, which played what they called "gypsy swing." Great musicians all around, with a wonderful fiddle player and singer as the frontman. The room was packed, the excellent wine was flowing and the toe-tapping music couldn't be beat. We ordered tapas from their short but very good menu, which also offered several main courses for those looking for a more substantial meal.
