I thought a night at the Lido was really fun and entertaining. The show has no plot or continuity, but that's really not the point. I loved the crazy costumes and unnecessarily elaborate scenery. I think the performance is more professional than the Moulin Rouge and the setting is more modern and tries to be classier although I prefer the character of the Moulin Rouge. The Lido is in a very upscale part of Paris and is very close to a metro stop. It's a bustling area even very late at night. The ticket prices are expensive and I'm sure there are many people who would not find this type of show to be very entertaining. It certainly can't be taken too seriously because it is pretty cheesy, but I personally had fun the entire time. I didn't eat the meal so I can't comment on that part.

Our trip to Paris was with the understanding we might not be back, so let's do everything we want to do in this one trip, so that included Le Lido.

We went to the dinner-revue. First, it was expensive (yes, I know, weak USD and yes, we knew it was expensive going in), and the food is really not good at all (we suspected this and boy were we unfortunately right). Our champaigne was very cheap quality (Brut, I think it was). The dinner band was not even remotely interesting, may as well just pipe in musac.

The show was pretty good, and the interspersed acts like the muscle guys and the puppet guy was just ok. I also don't like how they seat you where you are across the table from your companion, it is more pleasant to be seated next to each other, you can hear each other better for example. They seat you the same way at Le Moulin Rouge (which we had also seen and was a much better show in my opinion). but I'm not sure why they do.

I would say, if you really want to leave the planet saying you saw Le Lido (which I suppose we did), then definitely go to it; otherwise save your money for something else. That 300 Euros would probably go a long way toward a Vegas trip instead.

A friend who lives in Paris took us to the Lido. We were shocked when we found out how much it cost. Do NOT waste your time or money here.

For a male, the first 5-minutes of seeing 50 sets of perfect breasts prancing around on stage is interesting. But then you start looking at your watch. 90 minutes of the same lame dance routines but with different costumes.

The three individual performances (acrobat, mime, ice skating) were mildly interesting but I suspect these are the folks who didn't quite cut it for Cirque de Soleil (which is much cheaper).

Then there was the robotic elephant, prancing horse and fake pyramid. I suppose in the pre-Internet and television days, this was probably an exciting show. No more.

The champage was awful. We were given three bottles for the four of us. We drank one and left the rest.

I coersed my unwilling partner to see this show.

He wasnt interested in paying top dollar but I booked ahead anyway on the Internet for "guaranteed best seats in the house"

Yes we had a fantastic meal but when the floor lowered the best seats in the house went down with it.

I could not see anything below neck level on the show. No legs and dancing. The cabaret was the reason we went.

SO much for the GUARANTEE. We paid E280 per head. The most expensive seats from the Tourist Bureau in Paris where less than this. Booking ahead on the Internet did us no favours at all.

We would have been much better off with cheaper seats which were in the graded area.

I asked politely a few times about the seats, to which I received disinterested grunts.

I'll be going back to Paris but I won't be going back to Le Lido!

I had heard a few bad reports about this show so I was expecting the worse but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the entertainment was very good, some bits were better than others and sometimes it looked like some of them where just going through the motions but on the whole I enjoyed the experience. The food wasn't anything special by all means and cost of one vodka was £15!! As I didn't pay for this attraction I am not sure if it was worth the money, show maybe but food no.
