“Good but expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

This bistro is a great experience with unbelievably charming and helpful staff but it is expensive for what it is. I thoroughly enjoyed the "menu for the undecided" though which gives you a taster selection of 3 starters and 3 desserts and you simply choose your main course - an excellent idea that worked well for me! The staff really do seem to love what they are doing and take a pride in the food they serve and the service cannot be faulted so if you're in the area and don't mind paying a little bit more you won't be disappointed with the food, the atmosphere or the service - its only your wallet that might moan a little!

Seating : cramped
Menu : simple & cheap & well explained
Food : starter ok, main course not ok

Advice : go elsewhere, hyped
Bummer : waiter smoking outside when everyone was seated and ordered food, soon to be joined by colleague = not cool

“Great little restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

A great little restaurant, just round corner from our hotel. Food and wine delicious and well-presented. Steak particularly good - the Chinese beef a little less successful.
Helpful, friendly service.
They had difficulty processing our credit cards (no problem anywhere else) - fortunately we had enough cash.
Best to book - we used La Fourchette (before we left home).

“A great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

Went digging into tripadvisor and stumble upon this place while on my way to montmarc. Greeted by a friendly staff though I did nt get his name. Food was gd too but jus unfortunately im nt a fan of goat cheese. They hav it on all their salad so beware if u r ordering salad for starter. Cod with rice was excellent and the rest was very gd too. Definitely worth the price as its pretty cheap

“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

We loved this restaurant, fortunately we had booked because they were turning people away the evening we were there, despite refusing clients we were not at all rushed. The meal was beautifully presented and well cooked. Everything from the menu was fully explained to us, in French or English. The address was difficult to find as the road did not appear on our map, but well worth the search. Staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. We will definitely go again next time we are in Paris.
